I have 3. of these now and they are the next best thing to an.irrigatiin system! Using for the.last 3.years and no problems. Easy to program once you get the hang of it.
This water time seems well made. From a good quality plastic construction. It's heavy to to hold. You can tell it has quality made parts on the inside. Your going to need two double AA batteries there not included with the water timer. This four zone water timer has a large enough to see LCD screen. Without having to use my reading glasses to see the screen. Witch is nice. On the right side of the LCD screen is a large round multi function button to program the LCD screen. Inside the packaging is included three one page pamphlets in French, Spanish, And English. There's only twelve steps to programming the whole timer. The instructions are very easy to understand. And so is programming very easy to do. Even the water inlet to the water time is made from brass. With a heavy duty rubber wheel for attaching the unit to your outside water faucets. It has a new screen and rubber water seal included that works great for me with no leaks. This unit comes with four water zones. Or you can connect up to four water line that are sealed individually from the other water lines. To program anyway, Time, Or Day of the week you choose. I like everything about this water timer and all of it's zones and features.
All the features and flexibility I require and well built
The sprinklers went off exactly like I wanted.
I am impressed with the quality and performance of the product. It is superior to the unit I replaced
Back in the day, I loved to meander outside to water my plants and lawn whenever I felt like it. As I got older and the Florida heat seemed to affect me more, I got a little lazy---and brown grass appeared! Well, I tried this for free and what an absolutely marvelous invention. Basically, you program the times you want to water and voila, your yard is no longer brown. Very easy to use and I totally recommend this product. Take a break this summer!
This product serves it purpose, it's an excellent product to have if you are into lawn care. It's made of great durability and quality. One good feature is that you can set the timer to care for your lawn without having to do the labor yourself. It will make a great gift and I do recommend to family and friends.
I have had this product for over a year now, but only was able to use for one summer season last year. It worked great, we found that programming it was pretty self explanatory, but we did refer to the instructions to get it set on the timer we prefered. You can also purchase a separate rain sensor so that if the timer is set and you are not home, it won't come on and waste water. This was my first experience with a digital water timer and I was sold on how easy it was to work with and really a great tool to keep your lawn or garden watered. But it only worked for one summer. I brought this in over winter, and we have gotten it out and ready to go, and it no longer works. I popped on several websites to look for a solution, and apparently this is a pretty common issue. Customer service was unreachable. I cannot recommend this product, I do not think it is worth the money to only work for one summer - very disappointing!
You didn't even send me what I ordered. I ordered a Melnor 73280 which you say was sent but what I actually got is a 77280. It's not the same and I don't like it, but this was my second attempt and I needed something to use.
In concept, the idea of a programmable 4-outlet timer is a great idea, but this product has so many options and combinations that I found it nearly impossible to set up. I wanted to program the timer to water 4 different areas twice a day. After 2 days of trying to program the sprinkler, I re-read the directlons and went to the website for trouble-assistance, with no resolution, I finally got the timer to work for 2 areas one time per day. eThen we had a heavy downpour and the timer stopped working at all. Apparently you are supposed to enclose the timer. which is no easy task outdoors. This product was more trouble than it was worth.
