Melnor Sunrise Morning Water Timer

Set it and forget it. Very basic operation,just set the time duration on the dial and it's activated by first morning sunlight. I use the 5 minute duration in non-summer seasoning the 15 minute in Summer,which here in Tucson can be quite challenging. A 10 minute duration would have been a great option,however, everything functions as expected. My plants are happy!

I decided to get this water timer because I am disabled and don't get out often. Now that it's getting pretty hot I don't want my new plants I recently planted to burn and dry out. Florida heat is no joke and if you don't water everyday you forget about flowers blooming. What appealed to me the most about this particular water timer is that there is no programming. You simply screw the top of the timer on to your outside water spigot then screw the water hose to the bottom of the timer. Then attach the sprinkler of your choice and your done with setting up the system. Then you just turn the knob to the amount of time you want to do the watering and that's it. I have mine set to 15 minutes but it can be set to run from 5 to 120 minutes. If you need to test that the sprinkler is in the right position so that you don't spray your neighbors when when their leaving for work in the morning, simply turn the knob to the on position and the sprinkler with run until you either turn the knob to the off setting or back to the desired watering time. It automatically waters the the desired area at sunrise everyday. Nothing can be easier. I fell in love with it after one day and I'm sure my plants love it too. Never having a sprinkler system always affected how many plants I would put in my yard because I can't stand outside watering everyday. With these new hose only water timers anyone can have an automated watering system. I live in a townhouse right now and it works perfect for my little courtyard area. BTW: The battery case is incredibly hard to get off. I ended up getting needle nose pliers and putting straight out to get it out. Pull straight out or you may tear something up. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The sunrise timer makes watering our lawn easier! It's like having automatic sprinklers without the cost of installing automatic sprinklers.

As I live in the desert southwest and have a garden to water this is the best. I received the sunrise morning water timer. I used it this morning and my son calls me and tell me that it works very good and it water the lawn and plant and flower. He states that it is a good lawn and garden sprinkle and I will recommend it to my family, relative and friends.

Lots of things to like about this product, first being it works exactly as described. It requires two AA batteries and then it screws easily onto your outdoor faucet, which is connected to your hose. There aren't a lot buttons to push or timing things to program, which is a plus. All you have to do is set the dial to the amount of time you want the water on for, then at sunrise it turns itself on & off for the time you prescribed. There is an option to override the times manually, by selecting 'on' and 'off. When the batteries need replacing, there is a flashing light indicating they're low. The unit is small and easy to handle, so great for those who have physical limitations.

My backyard has grass in an area and being in Arizona it gets hot and dry! It's now in it's usual period of low 100's degrees. My grass needs to be watered every day unlike my flowers and bushes that need timers set for different days. Having a solar timer is a tremendous help. This timer is easy to set up. It comes on when that bright sun shines in the morning, and can be set to water anywhere from 5 to 120 minutes. Very simple to set amount of time. No complicated instructions or steps to go though. Easy to read. Very pleased.

I LOVE THIS SUNRISE SPRINKLER! This is the perfect sprinkler for my needs. I have some precious little yellow flower blooms coming up from seeds I planted a year ago. For some reason, Tampa has been in a semi-drought mode this year with very little rain. Instead of having to go out early & sprinkle them each morning, I rely on this wonderful sprinkler to gently spray them when the sun rises. DETAILS: It will automatically sprinkle every morning within 30 minutes of sunrise as it has a sensor. You can also set it manually (on/off) if desired. It requires 2 Alkaline AA batteries & conveniently, there is a flashing light when batteries need replacing. The sprinkler itself is 4" Wide~5" High and 2" Deep. There is a dial on the face of the unit with "on/off" settings for 5 minutes to 120 minutes. The bottom of the unit attaches to a regular hose or faucet. It's possible you may need an adapter for connection if you don't have the same size. I LOVE THIS SPRINKLER and I'm sure anyone else who would like to enable a soft sprinkling in the morning for flowers, ferns, etc., would, as well. It's VERY helpful & useful! Highly 'Recommend!

I was considering making a major purchase and transforming my lawn with an underground sprinkler system. However, after sampling the Melnor Sunrise Morning Timer I have thought differently after the major undertaking. This timer was very simple to install and operate. I simply turned the knob to set the amount of time I wanted the lawn watered. The timer automatically watered my lawn every morning with no other necessary programming. The build in UV turned the water on every morning for the time limit I requested. I now have my own personal water sprinkler without the hassle, time or money need to build one. Get Job Melnor!
