Mermaid Treasure Kids Jewelry Kit by Make It Real

Okay I am that mom that despises messes and don't enjoy beads, play dough, slime etc. However my daughter took off with this kit to her room to attempt to make the necklaces. It didn't make a mess and kept her busy for about 30 minutes. I call that a win win. The necklace she made is super cute and she is actually wearing it.

My daughter is at the age where she loves doing crafts, and since she loves mermaids, I thought this would be good for her. She enjoys making her own jewelry and putting what she wants in the locket. It's fun to see her and her friends customize their own accessories with this set. I will be getting a few more of these for gifts.

My daughter loved this kit! It is super cute and gives so many options for great crafts for her to wear to school and gives her something to show off to friends what she made.

This was really cute the Mermaid Treasure Kids Jewelry Kit by Make It Real. When I was a kid I loved making bracelets and jewelry and it was so fun and really though this jewelry kit was really cute and fun.

the Golden string for the necklace is too thick for the hole of the beads.. only 2 things can fit in, just the mermaid

The products/ beads are all poorly made and it really did not come with all that I believe it should of (more string). The only cool thing about this was that it did come with these locket looking things that u can put beads in. It was different which made it special. Other than that I wouldn't purchase again or recommend it to any moms I know

I received the Mermaid Treasure Kids Jewelry Kit by Make It Real as part of the Sparks Reviewer program. Oh my, I was pleased as punch with this as was my granddaughter. So adorable, and the see-through locket pendant that easily opens but clasps firmly is quite attractive and easy to use. She can open it, switching out beads when she pleases. Unfortunately, that lasted less than 24 hours. One drop on the wooden floor and the clear panel broke (not sure if it is glass or hard acrylic, either way, it left behind a jagged piece in the locket frame). Big disappointment, I do not know if we received an item with a structural flaw to it as it seems more like a fluke. Just slipped out of her hands while she was showing it to me, bounced once on the floor, and to our dismay broke. I think I could probably use some clear adhesive and repair it almost seamlessly. However, it would be a grand downer especially for my granddaughter who absolutely loves this set. She had so much fun putting together the rest and especially likes the bracelets. I gave this item as is a 3-star rating, otherwise, overall I would have given a 5-star rating because it seriously is that adorable. Surely to please any young lady, nice product in general minus this one flaw. The one flaw I find to be a rather a biggy when one considers the pendant is the centerpiece of this collection. Still, it would not deter me from buying Make It Real products, I have been quite pleased with them in general.

I had high hopes for this set as my daughters love creating things like jewelry. The locket is awesome and I love the bead selection . The rope and plastic cord were what made this kit so difficult. The elastic clear string was impossible to work with. The gold rope worked decently but there wasn't any way to clasp it so once it was knotted, you either had to slide it on/off or undo it. Definitely not ideal with small beads and charms. The box showed connectors, but also stated not everything shown may be inside the box. That was absolutely the case. I loved the beads, but they need a different method to create the bracelets or necklaces. The materials provided didn't work well at all

This is your standard jewelry making kit. The beads were fun colors and my daughters did have fun pouring different beads in the locket. The mermaid charm was cute, not creepy.

This set is a really cute idea. The pendant with a window into cute trinkets inside is adorable. The quality wasn't great, my daughter had a really hard time stringing the beads, even after using clear polish to seal the ends of the string. The string was just too big for the beads. The cute necklace broke apart a few days after she had been wearing it, so if you make it, use more reinforcements to keep it together.
