THIS BREAD IS A TRUE DELIGHT!!! It tastes great and is also very healthy for the digestive system. Make a whole slew of "new" sandwiches that will delight the senses by substituting this for regular white or whole wheat bread. Try replacing your bagels and Portuguese rolls with this.

The best whole rye bread ever. The local supermarket chain stopped carrying it so I purchased a case from Walmart. These sealed packs will stay fresh and moist for months. Good price. I should have done this years ago. Great toasted with over-easy eggs and bacon on top. Great sandwiches. Whole rye is better for me than wheat flour. I'm on a no-flour no sugar diet. It's easy to do.

I've eaten this bread for a few years now. This is the healthiest bread you can eat. Simple natural ingredients, whole rye kernels, water, whole rye meal flour, salt, oat fibre, and yeast. That's it! It also is high fiber. It's best toasted and makes great open-face sandwiches. Regular sandwiches are a little unwieldy unless it's just meat and cheese. Condiments or other toppings will likely slip out and make a mess, that's why open-faced is best. When I say its best toasted I mean you probably won't like it if you don't. Most people that buy this bread have had it before, but if you haven't it's called "Vollkornbrot" which is a dense chewy German rye bread. It normally has a long, long shelf life. The case I received had almost a year. It's a great bread for preppers. Slice open the pack but keep the leftover bread in the plastic wrapper. Once you open a pack put the rest (wrapper and bread) in a plastic storage container and refrigerate. It will easily keep for a month. It comes in the manufacturer packaging cardboard box, and the box will likely take a beating from shipping, but have no fear, the bread inside will probably be fine. If you aren't eating this healthy bread currently you should consider adding it to your diet. Your health will improve.
