Minn Kota Trolling Motors Accessories Black Battery meter

I already had the older version of this meter without the digital readout. I've had it for over 10 years, but it seems that it's always in the house when I'm in the shop, or in the shop when I'm in the garage. Anyway I now have one in the two places I usually need it. If the new one is half as good as the old one it will be a great buy.

Unless your trolling motor has a battery charge gauge, having an external meter to let you know the remaining charge allows you to boat in confidence - judge whether it's time to head in or fish some more spots. The Minn Kota meter is small, simple to use, and gives you a reasonably accurate measure of the amount of charge left in your battery. And it's very reasonably priced.

A voltmeter isn't enough to determine the charged state of the battery. This very easy to use device will indicate the voltage on the digital display and the colored LED's will indicate how much the battery is charged. No internal batteries required to power this device.

Hard to find these in the store. Glad to see it was on Walmart.com.

i have 5 batteries on my boat and this meter is so helpful in determining when they need to be recharged. great product and price.

Compared to the larger, more expensive meters, this one is superb. I would recommend a longer stretchable cord, but what it has works fine.

The voltage seems accurate, tested with a good volt meter. Small and light, Its a must have in your tackle box if the electric motor is you primary power. I hate rowing back. The area for improvement. LEDs don't light full unless the battery is at 12.9 or 13 volts. My deep cycle tops out at 12.7 as do many. So I pretty much just use the voltage meter, which I think is pretty accurate. Just need to know the voltage chart for your battery. When I get to 12.2 I make sure I;m not to far from the launch. You could go to harbor freight and buy 2.99 volts meter and it would do the same thing. But this thing is smaller than I expected and I like it. There is also a little hole to stick the probe into when not in use. I state that because I used it a few time before I figured it out.

Purchased about 5 weeks ago, Nice for voltage reading but find the negative wire very short. almost streched to maximum when testing a 12v car batery.
