1 oz Minwax 42851 Natural Stainable Wood Filler Interior/Exterior Wood Filler

This woodfiller saved 3 projects in one day. It is so handy to have a small tube to get just a little at a time and fill nail holes and errors. I also want to say it is a good consistency.

Walmart had the ability to ship the product quickly. The price was good as was the product.

It was the best price I could find.

I used this to fill in the gap in a newly installed butcher block counter top. It dried out/separated after about two years. When I went to use the tube again, it was also dried out. I bought it again since it worked well and I liked the color and texture. Unfortunately it was not a long term solution in my experience but I don't mind reapplying. I live in Colorado where humidity is low so that could have been a factor.

I ordered (and received) this item but I suspected (when I placed the order) that the "description" was in error ... and I was right! It is 1 (one) ounce NOT 10 (ten) which is ok. I really don't need 10 oz. but this IS the product I needed. Hope you can "straighten up" the description!

I followed the directions and the repair looked really nice until I tried to stain it. I waited additional dry time, stained the repair with Minwax stain and the stained area turned off white (like color of filler). I thought maybe the stain was absorbed and needed an additional coat, but after 5 additional coats and a lot of wasted time, the repaired area still looks off white. Now not sure what to do. I have a repair that I can't get stained.

product was dried out before it was opened. Was only able tonget enough for my single use by cutting the tube open.

Does not stain. Tried 2 types of stain.

This stained my unfinished wood. The oils in this product stained my wood and wont come out of the wood. It's literally made for wood so it shouldn't stain it like that. Lots of people keep their wood unfinished because they like it that way, so the company should make a product that's safe on wood without tons of oils in it that stains it. The color is supposed to be a natural basic pine color yet it doesn't match at all, it's staight up yellow, not natural wood. Natural wood has yellow undertones yes but isn't completely yellow like this. They could have made it a more natural color. Even I can mix colors that come out more natural and closer to natural wood than this, it's not that difficult, yet they make bright yellow. It filled in the cracks but so would play dough so that's not saying much. I thought this was supposed to be a good brand. It's also a waste of money them not putting it in a clear tube so you can't even see the color before you buy it, probably because they know no one would want it if they saw the color and how it doesn't match wood.
