Miracle grow helps keep garden plants alive and grow bigger
I switched the soil in all my pots to Happy Frog brand last year. I was disappointed. It seemed heavy and dried out easier. I saw someone on line do an experiment with 14 different potting soils over a season with the same plant, sun, water etc.. Miracle Gro grew the best plants. It just confirmed my feelings. This year I'm going back to my tried and true. Miracle Gro!
Great deal good potting soil! Plants are doing great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like using this Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix, 16 qt for all of my plants because it is easy to open the bag, easy to take the mix out of the bag, easy to put it inside of the pots, easy to put the plants and seeds inside the pots with the mix. The bag is a really good size, the mix keeps the moisture, my plants have grown more since adding this mix to the pot.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I repotted some of my succulents and some aloe pups with this soil, and so far, everything is looking good and healthy. This mix has will protect from both over and underwatering, which is important with succulents and other plants. This has a built-in fertilizer that is supposed to last for up to 6 months. It is lightweight and not dense thanks to the coir, moss and perlite. Can't wait to watch my plants thrive even more with this potting mix.
Ive never been so over run with bugs like this!! This product was on sale and I jumped right on it and bought a bunch of this. I've noticed my plants doing a steady decline so I thought I'd take a look at the soil. Absoutely awful. I inspect the soil when I first opened it in fear of infecting my plants with bugs. No sign of bugs. I ordered this Oct 5th I Believe. Today, Nov 3rd, Im noticing the severe infestation and checked the left over bag of soil. The bag also completely infested. Im so upset right now because I have spent over $100 on potting soil to repot my whole collection just to find myself in this battle. Its almost impossible to get rid of these things.
I have been using Moisture Control Miracle Grow Potting soil for years. My potted flowers have always been stunning. This year I am on my second round of plants in many containers, they are dying as well; I've only given one photo example. I could give you 20. Plants and soil are ridiculously expensive this year. After being a satisfied customer for years, I will look for another product. What did you do to your Moisture Control soil this year? Use inferior product? Someone had a great idea in product management to throw something else in? You've really mucked up a good product Miracle Grow. Very disappointed.
I bought this and within a few days of using it, mushrooms started popping up like crazy and when I opened the bag back up, they were even growing inside the bag of soil. I know it's a sign of healthy soil and all that, but they're crowding out my poor chamomile seedlings and I can't get rid of them without hurting the seedlings. I'm not going to want to use chamomile for tea that's been growing with mushrooms either so it's been a really disappointing experience and I'll have to find some better potting soil.
I bought Miracle Grow Organic Choice Moisture Control Potting Mix and potted up some bulbs. There was a white mold on about half the pots which I picked off and they seem to be OK now. A week later I go back to the bag and the mix is totally covered in white mold. The bag was in my garage, not in the sun and at about 50 degrees temp. Not acceptable!
I have been purchasing Miracle Gro products for years. About a month ago, I bought 3 bags of the potting mix with moisture control. The mix is full of mulch chunks & shreds along with a piece of metal. With minimal perlite and no fertilizer beads that I have always seen in the past. Upon opening the bag, there was a musty/moldy smell. I won't purchase again. I placed the metal piece in the center of the pot so you can see it. Need to zoom.
