Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-30, 12 Quart

Mobil 1 and Valvoline are my go to brands , if you do your own oil changes, this is by far the best way to buy lower cost and much easier to use, just save a old gallon or 5 qt jug to fill. the only issue is buy ahead, it not always easy to get same day, but the best way to go. the other factor is you never let air into the container an other plus and under $5 per QT. and less plastic in the land fill

I have been buying this bagged oil since I found out about it. I have used Mobil1 for as long as I can remember. I actually got my first box by accident thinking it was 12 quart bottles in the box. It do as much as I can for the planet, recycling everything I can and reducing waste where possible. Most places do not recycle oil containers so that is a ton of plastic that goes to landfills every day. This is a slight inconvenience as you have to transfer it to another container, I use 3 milk jugs that hold 2 quarts each that I reuse. After 2 oil changes, I have a recyclable cardboard box and a bag of plastic going to the landfill that equals probably only 1 of the 12 containers that would normally go. A pretty good trade-off for a small inconvenience. I already liked Mobil1 and now even more that they are working to reduce their footprint. I wish they would advertise it, so more people would know about it. The other downside is it is not always easy to find in store, you have to plan ahead and order online sometimes. Walmart ships it free to my door so no big deal.

Overall a great value based on price per quart and pretty easy to utilize if you're wanting to do multiple oil changes in a short period of time. The box / spout design works pretty well. You can drain about 90% of the box with the spout through the side, however you will ultimately need to remove the bag from the box if you want to fully empty all the contents.

All of our vehicles just happen to take the same viscosity oil, so purchasing the 12 quart box is a good value. Either save a 5 quart jug to refill or get an oil jug, otherwise you'll make a mess. Almost every drop of oil comes out, so there is almost no waste. Just recycle the box when done.

Nothing to dislike about this oil , BEST oil money could buy . I've been using this oil in my 07 Titan since it hit 100K miles , it now has 304K miles , WOW ! ! ! This 12-quart box of Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic 5W-30 with the built-in tap is hands down the best way I've ever found to buy motor oil at the retail level. I've been purchasing these from Walmart for years, and I honestly wouldn't go back to buying individual bottles. First, the value is unbeatable. This is consistently the cheapest way to get Mobil 1, which in my opinion is the best motor oil on the market. I don't waste time with cheaper oils when this one is so affordable, so proven, and so easy to work with. The packaging is brilliant. The box creates significantly less waste than buying multiple plastic bottles, which means less trash and less to put in the recycling bin. I can place it on a shelf, dispense exactly the amount of oil I need, and then put it right back until next time. The spout works very well and I've never had any meaningful dripping or leaking issues. Both of my vehicles use this same oil, so I can keep a couple of these boxes on hand and easily cover a full year's worth of oil changes without constantly restocking. They stack nicely on shelves, stay clean, and are far more convenient than managing piles of bottles. I also use Mobil 1 in small equipment, lawnmowers, and anything else that benefits from quality synthetic oil. It's reliable, consistent, and something I trust completely.

Ordered 2 but 1 box was not properly packaged but it is manufacturer fault because I have to open the carton to find out that the plastic faucet drain was not properly in line with the corrugated opening as instructed, have to switch the inside bag to line-up with the box opening because it was reversed.

I have been using Mobil 1 for about 35 years... with this stuff, a SAAB 9000 I owned went 360,000 miles. When it finally died I took the cam cover off and the engine had no varnish or other black yuck in it... completely clean ! Mobil 1 is the best stuff I have ever used. Now when it comes to price, here is where Walmart comes in the picture. Autozone has quart bottles for $12.00 each. If you buy it in a 5 quart jug, the price is $7.60/quart. ie somewhat better. WALMART has 12 quart BOXES, for $60 or $5.00/quart. Now this is the price I am very happy with... Thank you to Mobil Oil Corp and WALMART !!

Be aware that this 12 quarts of oil is delivered in a plastic bag inside a box with a spigot. You'll need to measure each of the 12 quarts in order to use the product.

quality of oil is ok- the color darker than sold in 5qt bottles.much better oil sold in 5qt or 1 qt bottles. when this box is opened there is another bottle needed to fill in oul from plastic bag.as plastic bag makes it almost impossible ( bulky and makes it slide from your hands)to use to fill into engine. and price is pennies less than buying 5qt.wont buy it again .
