Moen 1222 Brass Hot and Cold Faucet Cartridge

It's much cheaper to buy the original Moen valve upfront than to purchase a third-party valve, encounter problems, and then have to replace it with the original Moen valve anyway.

Amazing how much better than knock off, controls immediately and hats off to Walmart for blowing away the home shops by half price.

works very nice. now the shower handle turns super smooth after installing the new cartridge.

However, Moen offers a tool to remove the old cartridge, but it is worthless. Must buy an after-market tool for removal.

Exactly what I needed to replace in shower.

The part came in a container that had obviously been opened before and one of the parts was missing (one of the black rubber side pieces). Thankfully I could reuse one of those black pieces from my old cartridge. I'm not sure what I would have done if I didn't have one.

They mailed me the wrong item. I ordered 1222 and they sent 1222b. It looks extremely similar so it wasn't noticed until I installed it and it didn't work.

Purchased the product from Walmart supposed to be new opened box to find package already been opened. tried to have item exchanged for a replacement, but was only able to drop it off at Walmart for a refund.
