Mongoose Rebel Kids BMX Bike, 20-in. Wheels, Children & Tweens Ages 7-13, Black Bicycle

This is actually the 2nd one of these I bought. I purchased the first one and it was left in a move so decided to buy the closest model I could find to the first one. This one is even better looking cosmetically and (even though kids don't really get out and ride bikes like that used to), it seems to be doing a decent job for my 12yr old.

Listen, the mongoose is a staple of my childhood. I got one for my done (who didn't know how to ride a bike) and he was like a fish in water. And for god's sake put the pegs on. This is an urban bike, if you don't use the pegs to ride with people and do tricks then why even get a mongoose? Go get a tricycle or a Spider-Man bike with a basket or something.

My 8 year loves this bike! If you're child is small (< 80% ), you may want to wait until they're 10 or so for a bike this size. Overall we're very happy with it so far and are looking forward to several years of riding.

The bike was a hit for my grandson, although the brake cable was not working only to discover it was not connected. Needed to take it to a bike shop for a repair.

Bought as a Christmas gift in Dec. 2024. No issues at all so far and it was easy enough to set up alone. Price was very reasonable, the quality was great!

Fork was slightly scratched and front emblem was peeling off. I'll get some touch up paint and new mongoose emblem off Amazon , just an inconvenience tho.

So I grew up and had a mongoose but again it appears any bike you buy at Walmart is not put together well. The brakes on this bike were not tight screws fell off. My advice is before you let your kid ride this bike do a once over and tighten loose bits or bolts

I ordered a new bike and instead of getting a new one I got a used bike that looked like it was about two years old having already have multiple worn areas in the painted labeling and dirty tires that have very little tread and I bought it for my grandson who was all excited the bike arrived and I just didn't have the heart to tell him that the bike was used and to send it back, so basically I had no choice, but to keep it because I did not want to dash my grandson's feelings into the ground but I'm just furious that Walmart would send me a used bike when I paid for a new one and I'm very angry at Walmart for this.

Bike it not bad quality but the smaller tools applicators such as wire tips and bolts aren't best quality. Instruction manual very vague missing lots of steps.

The bike we picked was in the store but it was all scratched, covered in dust and clearly used looking so we decided to order one online instead. Tell me why they delivered the used bike from the store instead of sending us a new one!? For $200, I don't want a used bike. Thanks
