These lights are quite beautiful and the different patterns are really good. Where this product falls short is the app. You need the app to change the colors and patterns efficiently. You can do some features without the app, but it is much better with the app. The problem is that the app has to be reconnected to the lights if not used for a while.

The Monster smart app is very unreliable on PC and iOS - Could not connect and therefore could not control lights any way except the wired button, which is very limited in options, but over good quality otherwise.

I got these lights for my bedroom, and was very excited about them because of all the options they had. I love that I could use an app to control the colors and lights. I’ll do pros and cons.. Pros -beautiful colors -lots of options -can be controlled from the app on your phone -I love how thick the strip is compared to others -love the static and dynamic options… the rainbow is one of my favorites However… they don’t stay up easily! I made sure my walls were clean and free of debris and dust. As I was putting them up they already started to fall down! It was so frustrating. I had to use thumbtacks to hold them up. They come with plastic clips to use to support, I just haven’t got around to using them. Since I used the thumbtacks for support they haven’t fallen. But I wish they would just stay in place! There is not a single reason why they should begin falling down before you even use them. This happened not once, but twice! I thought the first time was fluke… then it happened AGAIN! I doubt I’d buy again despite the beautiful colors. So just know if you buy these you need to secure them .

These are nice when they worked. I finally put them up a month after purchasing them. You have to use the right app, Monster SMART Lighting app, to ensure they connect correctly. Be advised that these don't work with the app for Monster Illuminessence products. They were easy to set up once I learned I had downloaded the wrong Monster app. I let them run for about 2 hours. I started experimenting with the different light settings. After changing the color pattern a few times, the lights stopped working. I did take some time to troubleshoot the issue. I tried unplugging them for 10 minutes and plugging back them in. They still did not work. I even tried using a different power supply for them. My thought is the controlling unit burnt out. I'll be contacting customer service on Monday as they aren't open on the weekend. If they didn't stop working after 2 hours of use, then I would have left a 5 star review. Hopefully, customer service can help me out.

the adhesive strip does not work at all whatsoever and the tiny screws that they give you do not work either. both mounting options failed to hold the weight of these extremely heavy lights. the manufacturer also reverse spooled them, so you have to unroll all 50 ft of this bullsht product to start putting it on your wall. do not buy from this bullsht manufacturer.

Too many issues with the app and connectivity with Bluetooth. This product would be more beneficial if it came with a remote control. Unless Monster fixes the glitches within the app these lights are useless. It can only be controlled with a smart phone app download.

it HAD to be connected to the internet for me to change colors, because it comes with no remote, and if it's not in the same room as the internet router the app won't work

Could not get the app to work at all which means much of the functionality was lost. Also, the app wanted full permission to my location, network devices, personal info, etc. Why is all of this necessary? I just wanted lights. Ridiculous. Definitely do not recommend. I returned them.

Absolutely terrible. The Bluetooth feature doesn’t even work. I’ve tried my phone and friends as well. The LED strips don’t even show up. You should plug up and test before hanging them like I did. All the trouble and frustration for nothing. Oh and the adhesive doesn’t stay up. I shouldn’t have to “use double sided tape” like some of the other reviews on here suggest. I paid for something I expected to work and got a useless piece of crap.
