OK it's a drip machine. No pods, no lift, pop, brew, lift, toss action. I have a pretty high-powered pod box, but I prefer the results from the soft gurgle of heated water flowing across coffee grounds in a basket and into a heated carafe. For the price, this machine handles that task pretty well. Is it a gourmet super grande steamed milked latte machine? Nope. Just a nice looking drip machine that can be programmed to drip drip at a chosen time. You know the best part of waking up? Yup, this machine helps get it in your cup!
We love this coffee maker and brand. It brews quickly and you can even pour coffee as it will stop to allow this. The basket is large enough where grounds don't overflow and go into the pot. Repeat customer for life.
Bought it for my man. He's the coffee drinker and no problems. Good for the price
We had this same coffee pot but gave the older one to our son for his apartment when we came to visit. We purchased the new one. It doesn't seem to be made out of as durable plastic as the older one and it doesn't shut itself off but other than that we are pleased.
Overall very satisfied with this purchase. Ordered online and picked up at Walmart. First thing I noticed after getting it home was a clearance sticker on the box for $25 ($43.47 online) and the box was damaged. I checked right away but didn't see that the machine has a dent in the chrome base that aligns with the damaged box but it isn't super obvious and doesn't affect performance and the price was discounted. The machine is very attractive (would be 5 stars without dent), easy to operate and makes decent coffee. Good machine with features I wanted (auto shut off) for the money Several reviews noted the basket overflowing and leakage on the counter. Very relieved this has not happened or it would be returned. Things I don't like: The 4 hour auto shut off is too long for us. I just turn it off The piece that the basket sits in is not removable for cleaning. Not an issue as it is brand new but I see this as an issue in the future, and I am really careful when I fill the paper filter. The water fill line indicator is on the side near the back and not useful at all. i used to fill my old Krups directly from the filtered water pitcher. i feel I need to fill the carafe first and pour it in. Overall I am pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase.
I have had this coffee pot before and lived it so I bought another one but it doesn't shut off automatically and now it won't shut off at all
the item itself was good. but the delivery driver left it at the wrong house and when i finally got the package and opened it. it had a clearance sticker with a price of $33.50 on it when i paid $46.08. pretty crappy on walmart online.
It was an excellent price point. At the time of purchase 5 days ago I paid $25.00. It is not an ugly machine but it is large even for a 12 cup model. I have a dedicated coffee area so that is not an issue for me. If you have limited space that is something you'll want to take into consideration. It is programmable and has the much desired auto shutoff. It is so nice not to go into a "Did I or Didn't I" mind loop when I leave the house. It brews quite hot which is a feature I need and look for. The pour spout works perfectly without dribbling or mess which can be a common issue with other carafes. It has a strong and a regular setting which I like as I love a bolder cuppa and I like the option for my less caffeinated family and friends. It doesn't come with a reusable basket but for the price I can't complain. I am not sure if it is a design flaw or a defect but it brews too fast and forcefully so the coffee grinds overflow the basket and filter due to its inability for drainage to keep up with the pace. This happens whether or not you use the strong or the normal setting. I am using the proper filter size and it's just an absolute mess. I refuse to waste coffee ever let alone with how expensive it is now due to tariffs. So I used a 5 cup reusable cone filter I had on hand to pour through into my mug to filter out the mess and not loose that life enhancing beverage! A coffee-less morning is a negativity I just don't need in my life and will be as resourceful as heck to make it happen! Other than that major flaw it is a great machine. I am going to exchange it for the same model in hopes of it being a defect. Even at its current price of $34.99 only 5 days later it will be worth it to try it again due to all the other great features.
I've been purchasing Mr coffee makers for decades. This one is a disappointment. Coffee comes out weak, even on the strong setting. Also does not have an automatic shutoff. Not happy at all
Avoid this coffee maker Worst coffee maker I have ever purchased. Grounds always in the brewed coffee. The brew chamber is also full of grounds. I bought this coffee maker to replace an older version of Mr Coffee. The brew basket in this new one has a cutout on each side that is about 1/2 inch lower than the top of the basket, so the basket fills up and runs out these two cutouts. Somebody stayed up all night figuring out this flaw. The spring is a little too stiff also. The picture depicted show the old brew basket and the poorly designed new basket with the cutouts. The one on the right is the new basket.
