Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Rapid Brew, Brushed Metallic

The product picture showed a green metallic coffee machine but the product is black. There were two colors listed - red %26 black. I thought I was ordering the green one since that's what the picture showed and no green was offered. So although the product works fine I was very disappointed by the color.

We bought this in January 2023, and it worked great to begin with. Yesterday, I went over to the machine to make coffee and the display wasn't working, but the machine was on and super hot to the point of steaming. It didn't have coffee or water in it at the time and wasn't scheduled to turn on. This makes me nervous for others who have this machine because this is a fire hazard. If I had not gone over to make coffee that afternoon (which I don't normally do) I'm afraid it would have caught fire. I saw another reviewer with the same issue. This needs a recall asap. I would like to see if i can get a refund.

I really did my research before settling on this coffeemaker. The Mr. Coffee 12 cup programmable coffeemaker with a brushed metallic finish is definitely a nice surprise. My old Mr. Coffee was just the cheapest thing, and it did the job just fine for just over two years before the plate was practically rotted metal and the coffee began tasting bitter and horrible. I knew then that it was time to pick up a new one. I poured over reviews of everything high end that I could find. I figured that I would finally splurge on a nice coffeemaker. I almost bought a combination espresso/coffee pot machine, but it had not so nice reviews and I didn't want to make a bad choice only to have to return it. I am so glad I decided to purchase this one instead. I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely it was packaged, and at how beautiful it looks. It is gorgeous, and feels like it will last for a long time. The carafe did feel at first a tiny bit thinner than the old battleaxe ones from the older Mr. Coffee machines, but it is not a deal breaker for me. I think with care it will last. Setting the time was incredibly easy and effortless. I had read on Walmart reviews that sometimes the coffee tasted like plastic the very first time, so I double brewed a pot of plain water, then used vinegar, letting that sit for half an hour, before rinsing it out with plain water a couple times again just to be sure it was cleaned out inside and this worked great. The first cup of coffee this morning was absolutely superb!! My family and I are beyond happy!! It was really perfect - smooth and rich and just as flavorful as can be. Really was amazing how great it was, and tomorrow we will try the strong brew feature. The only complaint I have about this coffeemaker is that the time gets reset to flashing 12 AM when it is unplugged for too long. I am a person who doesn't like to leave anything unnecessary plugged in all day - the toaster, the coffeemaker... etc. Why leave anything plugged in for nothing when it is just wasting electricity and constantly trickling energy for absolutely no reason? I wish that this machine had that automatic set the time feature when you plug it in like some clock radios have. Other than that, I am in love with this coffee maker and am definitely happy with this purchase.

I'm so confused! With every single pot, coffee grounds end up in my pot. I couldn't understand it so I stood and watched it brew and discovered it may be that it's brewing too fast; the filter fills with water faster than it drips so it overflows! I tried the "strong" option to slow it down to no avail. I tried "better" filters. I tried making less cups and even a reusable filter a friend suggested. Nope. A guest got the last cup of a pot and his mouth was so full of grounds he had to run to the sink to spit it out! Now I have to pack it up and return it. I gave it 2 stars instead of one because it still brews coffee and has the preset option which I love. Is this just a fluke, Mr. Coffee?? 😭

I purchased this coffee maker on 2/7/23 and it has already failed. First, it stopped shutting off. I had to unplug it after every brewing cycle to keep it from becoming a fire hazard. As of today, it won't work at all. The light comes on, but the brewing cycle won't start. None of the troubleshooting fixed the problem. It's not too much to ask for a decent cup of coffee from a new maker. Of course, I did not keep my receipt, so I can't return it or use the limited warranty. Overall, I'm very disappointed and would not recommend this product to anyone.

Bought this May 2023 and in less than a month it broke. I started reading some other people's reviews and it seems like people are having the same issue mine did . It wasn't scheduled to be on and it was. There were no lights on indicating that it was on . I had just noticed that it was steaming which I think is dangerous. I don't know how long it had been on, this seems to be an issue with others, but one lady suggested that it should be recalled and I think she's right. This is a fire hazard.

Great buy ! Recently my older Mr Coffee broke down and now I have his lovely one looks nice and modern and brews coffee super fast ! I was impressed! The one thing that I was bummed about was that my older one came with a reusable filter this one didnt. Its okay tho still not a deal breaker I kept my old reusable filter and the pot as they are still comparable with this new version. Im really happy with my purchase.

I'm giving this big boy 5 stars cause it does exactly what it's suppose to do. It makes hot coffee. Not complicated at all. The only thing I wish it had is a coffee screen filter. But Hey the price is GREAT and I can buy my own dang filters. Did y'all see some of the prices on coffee makers? This one is fine and dandy. I don't need all them bells and whistles when I want coffee I want coffee not a sound and light show. But in case y'all need a little light show this coffee pot does come with a light up time display. Its a good maker I recommend this big boy.

Attractive looking and makes great coffee. However nothing lights up on the digital read out, so you can't see a thing. I can be standing right in front of the coffee pot, and still not be able to read the time unless I have a flashlight. Makes it difficult to set the auto timer. Huge disappointment.

I have used a Mr. Coffee for many, many years and it is the only coffee pot for me!! I searched other places and found the best price and NO shipping fee at Walmart. The delivery time was within a week's time. It not only makes the best coffee but looks very nice on my counter!
