Decent quality maker, 14 cups and a fair-priced, well made machine. I use large Bunn filters that have high walls. the same amount of coffee used in 12 cup maker is fine for me. the pot puts out very hot water; taste is improved over old B/D thermal pot.
i drink coffee every day i did have a mr coffe before ive loved it ever since i told my husband this is the coffe maker for us. i bought it and its our wedding anniversay of 34 years
I absolutely love this coffee pot! I think it makes my coffee taste better! And I like the 14 cup carafe.
Hate the normal 2 hour shutdown time on others of 2 hours. This is 4 hours. Also has 14 cup capacity, that with normal coffee cups today meant only 2 cups each between 2 individuals. Those you can get the extra third cup.
The grounds always end up in my coffee. I tried larger filters. This is a problem with all there products I have several models and it happens on all of them!! The water don't flow out fast enough and then the incoming water over flows the top of the filter.
Overall I like the coffee maker but it doesn't include the reusable filter or water filter or holder however I contacted Mr Coffee and they are immediately sending out the missing components and also advised me that there are only 4 stores that actually sell the complete setup as seen in the included photo so I would suggest to purchase from one of them and not Walmart also many complaints on Mr Coffee website about Mr Coffee not selling a replacement carafes so basically if you were to break it you would need to purchase a whole new coffee maker
The carafe for this unit is unlike any I've had with previous Mr. Coffee's over the past thirty years or so--and I find it irritating. It has a large plastic collar and spout. I fill it from the filtered water dispenser in our fridge, and it's hit or miss targeting the stream of water around the collar or through the spout. The lid opens only to 90º, so pouring into the water reservoir is difficult--there's always a bit left in the carafe to be poured in the sink. And and because of the slit design of the spout, it's not the most convenient for pouring coffee into cups or mugs, either. Overall, they've taken a proven design, and royally screwed it up.
This is not a 14 cup coffee maker. My wife put exactly 9 (8ounce) measuring cups of water into this machine. It holds exactly 72 ounces. Even if you divide this by a 6 ounce cup you only get 12 cups. This is false information and advertising by Mr. Coffee. I want a refund so that I can buy a 12 cup coffee maker and not pay for a 14 cup coffee maker and get a 12 cup one and charged for the 14 cup coffee maker.
This used to be a quality brand, but I guess those days are over. I loved the sleek look and larger pot this maker offered, but I purchased this on 12/23/22 and it is now 1/14/23 - 22 days later. It turns on and just sits there. It shows the time and all the buttons work. I have unplugged it, let it sit for a bit and replugged it. I’ve tried brewing through brew now feature- no help. I’ve turned off the strong brew, but it will not brew despite all of that. It’s ridiculous to pay $60 for a coffee maker and it doesn’t even last a full month. Of course, I can’t take it back because I don’t have the box anymore - my mistake.
Display screen has gone whacky just a week or so after first use. numbers do not display correctly, some of the lights are lit when they shouldn't be and other are not when they should.
