This heater does require a little bit of assembly before you can just open the box and use it. Assembly takes about 30 to 45 minutes and is pretty straightforward. Once you get it set up and hook up your gas you just turn the switch and within minutes you have really hot air. The heater is nice looking enough to be in the house but also a great option for outside if you need to take it outside. It’s off lots of heat and has different modes so you don’t have to have it super hot if you don’t want it super hot.
I have three of these heaters. Bedroom, Livingroom and Basement. It is all I use in the winter for heat. They are inexpensive to operate, and I only need to heat the rooms I am occupying. I have a CO detector and have never gotten much of a reading, so they are very clean burning. For safety reasons I don't run them at night or when I am away. My rooms are fairly large, and these will quickly heat to a comfortable temperature and beyond. The energy savings over using central heat more than covers the cost of the heater and 2 of them are more than 20 years old. This one is a new addition.
It is not the right time of the year to get this. I believe it will help in the really cold days. It started really easy with a electronic ignition. It could heat up pretty easy for a 1000 square feet space. You can mounted it to the wall or on the floor with including pieces. It has oxygen sensor so it is safe to use.
30k Working much better with circulation fan. Seems to help thermostat function. Purchased a long 3/8 supply hose to set bottle outside. Be aware the local bottle exchange only fill the grill tank with 3.5 gallons. Refill station will fill it with 4. 5 near half the cost. Heater is a great addition to my home. Wouldn't want to be without it now. I was extremely satisfied with the heater, price, and shipping here Walmart. Some other sellers were priced $100 more.
This heater was a life saver! My furnace went out just after Christmas and this heated up my 1500 square foot house until I was able to save some money to get my furnace replaced. It is easy to hook up and so much more cost effective than having a bunch of electric space heaters placed throughout my house. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone needing to heat a large space … especially if you find yourself in a position where you have no other heat source.
The box arrived slightly damaged but it is well packed so it didn’t damage the heater. I have both Dyna Glo and Mr. Heater heaters. For the price Mr. Heater gets my vote because they come with legs and a thermostat. As for another review I saw here I had no problems connecting the hose. I purchased an elbow flare and a adjustable regulator hose.
have used it for a month and have not had any problems. Was easy to install, heats the entire front half of my two story house, looks great, does not seem to use a lot of propane to heat. Have it sitting on the floor in front of my fireplace that we can't use anymore, and it is working perfectly.
The heater works fine just wish it had a blower in it. we put a fan in front of it to get the heat into the other rooms. I'm sure we could put a blower on it but first thing is the know how?
I got this heater for my double car garage. It has great reviews but there are a few things that could be better. 1. Include the doggone hose and regulator. Tractor Supply has the best price if you need the regulator and hose. TSC even includes the fittings and tape. Mine was $48 and comes with 12 foot hose. 2. Directions call for 4 self tapping screws to attach the feet. Spend the 25 cents and include them with the other parts that I did NOT need. 3. Include which way the battery goes with the lighting instructions instead of a footnote at the end of the troubleshooting section. Don't make it difficult! KISS! Now for the good stuff. Yes you have to bleed the hose for about a minute on first start to get the air our of the line. That is plainly stated in the instructions! The heat output is awesome. Glows and you can feel the heat from several feet away. I blower might do better but mine is low to the concrete floor and heat rises so I don't need a blower for mine. Yes I would purchase again. I like that it is not as loud as salamander heaters.
The item advertised as having hardware included to use on feet. There is not a 90° angle adapter that has to go into the spot under the the bottom of the unit for the gas line. Now I have to pirchase one in order to use the heater. For the price of the item. All adaptor parts should be included as in the description. it doesn't state. If you are going to use the feet. You need to puchase a 90° angle adaptor 😡
