If you never had kimchi this is the one you want to try! Just be careful not to eat too much when you first start eating kimchi. Kimchi is good for your gut. I eat it every day. It helped me with my acid reflux. I use to take scripted medications for this for over 10 years until I found kimchi. I haven't taken it since and it been almost a year now and spicy foods use to trigger my heartburn but since eating this I can eat all those things that use to bother me. This kimchi tastes just like what I make but this is a little more hotter than what I make but still very good . I've tried some other brands and didn't care for them. I like it a little spicy which some have none. Sometime I don't have time to wait for it to ferment make it so I buy this. I eat it both ways fresh and fermented. This has a nice crunchy texture and a spicy hotness to taste. . It does seem a little pricey, but it has a very good flavor.
Yummo. It is hard to not eat the whole jar. Only thing would be better is if it came in glass. I would pay a little more for glass. But I'd also probably eat a little more.
pungent, flavorful as heck, and the cabbage's texture is silken-tender with a bit of crunch. Vegetarian so no fish paste or fishy taste. I add a couple TBSPs of white or rice vinegar to thin and spread out the pepper paste a bit. I have not stopped buying these since I first bought it
I added a little Kimchi to 2 pieces of sliced turkey and cheese rolled up with a little bit of Grey Poupon mustard and ate it that way for my Keto Diet. No bread and didn't miss it. Reminded me of a Reuben. I've had the Kimchi from Asian Markets %26 it has Anchovies in them. This doesn't and was quite clean tasting and nice flavor. Look up the health benefits of Kimchi...It's pretty awesome!
I love this stuff. it tastes so good and is so good for you. gut health is very important. And this definitely helps your gut biome.
This so good I am from the Caribbean and it reminds me of dish we called sancouchi we sometimes add dry salted cod delicious. Nostalgia !
I liked the fact that Walmart had Kimchi on their shelves. I was pleasantly surprised. I have been able to purchase ramen in various flavors and brands. I am watching Korean dramas on a streaming service and wanted to try the cuisine that is served there. This brand states that it is authentic, so that's why I purchased this one. I like it better than the sauerkraut, that I grew up with, being of German/Italian decent. Being somewhat spicy, but not really hot. The cabbage is good and a little crunchy. The price was acceptable as well. I purchased chopsticks too, but cannot get the hang of that process. I like to try some of the things from different cultures that I watch. It's fun and helps bridge the differences between cultures.
Cabbage is crunchy. As it should be. Very garlic forward. Which is a good thing. Spicy but not overwhelming . The jar is well packaged to maintain freshness. With fried rice and a protein it's very satisfying
This kimchi is way too salty and the texture slimy. Cooking with this or adding to foods is impossible because the salt is overpowering and ruins the flavor of anything you add it to. The Lucky Seoul Kimchi is far superior in quality and way lower in sodium and is crispy, not slimy. I only bought this because Lucky Seoul Kimchi has been out of stock for over a month. I ate two small servings of this poor excuse for kimchi and threw the rest into the trash which is where it belongs.
Bottle looked fine only thing is i havent tried it yet. When i took the plastic off the outside when i took the top off i seen a little hole in the middle of the inside seal. Im curious if the hole is suppose to be there or not due to there being one of those fresh baggie things under the top also like i said before i took off a plastic that was on the bottle. There isnt a hole through the top neither. So what could it be ????
