Natrol Melatonin 5 mg Time Release, Nighttime Sleep Aid

Great product. Helps me sleep at night without having to use prescription drugs to get sleep.

Worked for me after few days of taking this regularly. Occasionally, I'll wake up and pop another one to sleep. This is also a great anti-oxidant.

I like the timed release Melatonin because it keeps me sleeping through the night. Natural is reasonably priced and is doing the job. I'll be reordering when needed.

Highly recommend the time release if you're using melatonin. Works great. Not groggy feeling when you get up in the A.M. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

What's important to me? Time release. The Natrol brand is what I use today and it does what I want - makes me want to sleep and then keeps me there. But I'm not in a drugged state. If I'm awakened I can function normally. That's what I like about melatonin. It's a supplement, not a drug. Sometimes at night, my mind just won't shut off. Melatonin aides greatly in taking off that edge. I highly recommend it. There are no side effects or addictions that I know of.

I have PTSD and had trouble sleeping thru the night, and waking up screaming! :( I had tried lower dosses but did not help. This brand and the dose of 5mg. Gives me rest with no waking up, and no "screaming, Thank God, and I feel rested in the morning! Also no " grogginess!! I am so Grateful!!!!

This product is not for me. Did not work as advertised. Did not sleep two nights of using and felt restless. I have taken other Melatonin products that did better. Perhaps it was the time released aspect that didn't work for me. I will not be purchasing this product again. May be okay for others.

I thought that taking a 1 mg tablet , the lowest I've seen , would help with the groggy feeling in the morning but it didn't. Quite possibly I just can't take melatonin tablets. I did sleep well for the first two hours after taking it and the was in and out of a sound sleep until morning.

I bought this after reading all the rave reviews. I had been using regular (non-time release) melatonin for awhile, and it helped me fall asleep, but not stay asleep. lately I've been waking up 3-4 times per night, and had high hopes that the time release melatonin would help. What a joke! First of all, I did not notice any difference in my sleep. Still waking up 3-4 times per night. Secondly, these pills look EXACTLY the same as my regular melatonin. The bottle talks about different “layers” that provide the time release. Cut one open, people. There are no layers! (See photo.) So disappointed!
