I had a universal remote that was awful. So I knew I needed a real OEM remote and I was right. It actually works!

The batteries are very hard to put in

having an original one to compare it to, this remote is not original. There is no VIZIO logo and the buttons on the image displayed for quick access to netflix and hulu and such are not as depicted. There is however no problem using the remote as soon as you place batteries in it. Functionality-wise, the buttons don't respond well. When you try to use the center pad to move around in your TV for selection, it doesn't respond to a single command, it doubles it. so if you are trying to switch movies on your center pad, it will select something else entirely. its sensitive which is annoying but all in all. the price is exactly what you pay for. Dont expect official packaging as well.

The buttons to move around along with the ok button like to double and sometimes even triple click which is frustrating when trying to select things. you have to tap REALLY fast and hope it was fast enough. Aside from that, it's a good product

This is listed as a new XRT136 remote. This is far from the truth. I have my original remote and this is definitely not an original. It is definitely an aftermarket from the material it's made out of to the clicky buttons that the original does not have. It works with my TV on all functions just thought I would point out it is not an original remote made by Vizio.

It is nearly impossible to get the back off of the remotes in order to put in the battery. Second, the buttons all stick and made my television go bonkers. Third, I missed the 14 day return window and was given no option to return after that time. These are not Vizio remotes. They are cheap knock offs that do not work. Perhaps that is why there is only a 14 day return policy in place. Buyer beware

Our original Vizio remote was worn out, so we decided to replace it. The old one wasn’t perfect—sometimes you’d press the channel buttons and nothing would happen—but it was still usable. Unfortunately, the brand-new original equipment Vizio remote was even worse. When scrolling through channels, a single press would often skip two channels at a time. Entering text or passwords was extremely frustrating because each button press would frequently register twice, making accurate input nearly impossible. In the end, we returned the new remote and went back to using the old, worn-out one—which, surprisingly, worked better than the replacement. Very disappointing experience.

Buttons started advancing incorrectly right after 30 day warranty. It was supposed to be original Vizio remote but appears same as the off brands for a couple of dollars more.
