I love this dressing but have a slight issue with it. There's too much oil, you can shake and shake it but before you get the lid off to pour on your salad all the spices have sunk back to the bottom. To fix this I poured out about an inch or so of oil and then the dressing mixed perfectly.
This was my first time trying this dressing, and I am very pleased with it. It blends oil and vinegar together in a way that creates a unique flavor. The taste is both refreshing from the vinegar and smooth from the oil, perfectly balanced. As a new experience, it left a great impression, and I'm happy to use it again.
Newman's Own Classic Oil & Vinegar offers exceptional versatility, serving effectively as a salad dressing, marinade, or a flavorful base for slow cooker dishes and soups. Crafted with only simple ingredients, it delivers a remarkable burst of flavor. Simply shake the bottle thoroughly before dispensing over your desired food item and savor the experience.
I already love Newman's Own products, so I was excited to try this, and it did not disappoint. The oil and vinegar blend has a really nice balance, not too sharp and not too heavy, which makes it super versatile. I especially can't wait to use this on veggie grinders because it seems like it will add the perfect amount of flavor without overpowering everything. Overall it tastes fresh, simple, and exactly what I look for in a classic dressing.
Newman's Own Classic Oil & Vinegar Dressing has a well-balanced flavor that leans slightly tangy with a mild sweetness, making it versatile for a variety of salads. The oil and vinegar blend separates as expected, but it emulsifies nicely with a quick shake, creating a smooth consistency that coats greens evenly. I liked that it isn't overly heavy or greasy, which keeps salads feeling fresh rather than weighed down. However, the flavor might be a bit mild for those who prefer a sharper, more robust vinegar kick.
I like the Newman's Own Classic Oil and Vinegar dressing. It's simple and real ingredients make me feel better about eating this dressing. The only thing I don't really like is that it's in a plastic bottle but other than that it's a good product and worth a try.
Awesome dressing with an even better mission! I love buying Newman's Own products because they donate 100% of their after-tax profits to charity. And it helps that they make quality products worth buying, too! This dressing tastes great, I used it on a salad but it works for sandwiches as well. My only suggestion would be to get rid of the canola oil, I'm trying to avoid seed oils and that would be a very welcome change. Otherwise, it's perfect!
I really enjoy the flavor of Newman's Oil %26 Vinegar, and it's much healthier for you. However, they have reduced the bottle size from 16 ounces to 12 ounces. They also removed the small insert that controls the flow, making it harder to manage the amount you use. While they only lowered the price by 97 cents, it doesn't seem like enough of a change considering the downsides.
I have been buying this exact dressing for six years. The new packaging is absolutely AWFUL! The bottle itself is flimsy but the cap is actually brittle. Go figure. I have had two caps break so far. Also, the cost per ounce went up with this design... yay shrinkflation!
Why the smaller bottle at the same price? Taking advantage much Walmart? You can get the larger bottle at a different store, that's where we all will be buying . Thanks
