FAR superior to canned black olives which are one dimensional and really just not very good at all. If you buy kalamata olives from the olive or deli bar at your grocery store, try these. Every bit as good and a bit less expensive.
These are really tasty Greek Kalamata olives. Our family loves olives; we eat them a lot! This is a good brand and we've always been happy with this choice! Olives can go anywhere, whether topping for pizza, a big family salad or a personal sized one, use in scrambled eggs or omelets, serve with hummus or baba ganoush and pita bread, tuna sandwich, fattoush, or pair them with a warm and spicy garbanzo bean %26 pinto bean (or other pre-cooked beans) as a side dish, with chopped hard-boiled egg, jalapeños (etc), maybe a little bacon (or leave out if you're vegetarian), with fresh cilantro and fresh lime squeezed over the top (yum!)...it's all good!
Enjoy Kalamatas. Like that, briny flavor( have even used jar juice-if low on red wine vinegar). This brand, hasn't disappointed thus far. I as I said, to the flavor, texture and taste. All pleasant. : ) Happy with this purchase, YES, I would recommend this product.
Kalamata olives are my absolute favorite. I've been buying Mezetti's for 40 years —back when they were hard to find. This product is consistently the best, year after year. I recommend buying 2 jars first the first time because when you're hooked, you never want to run out!🤗
Olives, olives, olives, oh how I LOVE olives! These olives are one of my favorites. Love the taste of these olives....flavorful and satisfying. Great quality product and very affordable. *Olives are HEALTHY
Love these Kalamata Olives. The exact ‘tang’ is what I like. I use the juice more than the olives to make salad dressing! Yum!! The olives are about half medium firm and half ‘fall-apart’ tender. Mix with cream cheese (mostly olives) for dynomite dip!
You think they only way to get great olives is to buy them at an upscale delicatessen? Think again. These jarred olives are superb. (Almost all Mezzetta products are superb, in fact). The taste is amazing, and the olives themselves are still fresh and firm. Great as an appetizer or snack, wonderful on an antipasto platter, and excellent as an ingredient in salads or cooked dishes. Can't miss with these (and probably won't be able to stop eating them!).
Eating these olives is like having a religious experience!! You can feel them cleansing internally!! Best thing I ate during Chemo and radiation treatments. My friend going through current radiation agrees. Great in salads, pasta dishes, or alone. I use the brine in my red sauce recipe. Makes awesome Mediterranean dishes. Yum yum yum
I cut up these olives to put on my pizza and tasted one just to check and it was so sour. I had only eaten three out of the whole glass. It was not old or anything. Olives don’t go bad anyway because there’s vinegar in the liquid. No wonder why people don’t like olives. Very poor quality.
when I first opened jar I discovered it had been previously been opened. Since I had previously reported a bottle of Dawn liquid capless and spilled over my car, the return window was closed. More a policy issue than an item issue. Not all all problems are discovered at the same time, especially pantry items.
