I am pleasantly surprised with the range of the wireless cameras. I haven't mounted them permanently yet but soon...that will be the real test. The cameras will be 90 feet from the NVR. The claim is up to 300 feet...we'll see!!

I like everything about this system; the clear resolution, the night vision, being able to communicate with whoever is outside, the price, the number of cameras… I like it all!

We bought this to install while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. Even though they are just temporarily set up we can see what is going on at home when we are 1700 miles away. Can't wait to set cameras permanently and learn more about the features of Night Owl.

Great product, it was recommended by my neighbor, and for the cost it does exactly what it's suppose to. HIGHLY recommend this product if you desire a cost effective video system. My only complaint is the location of the antennae on the camera, makes it difficult to have the camera facing to left side.

easy set and no monthly fee

Fast delivery of product as shown and promised. Cameras were easy to install, but the DVR/NVR setup was not all that simple or as easy as expected. After several reboots and needing to create a DDNS ID, Password and Domain name we were finally able to get the system set up and configured to our personal preferences. The camera quality is outstanding! Wide view and bright colors in daylight and crystal clear B&W images at night. I've owned two prior systems from another company and I will never go back after seeing the Night Owl perform.

This is an awesome surveillance system for the price...it's super easy to get up and running. Picture quality, color, and clarity is fine. I also added the camera door bell. It integrated well.

Super easy to set up, but very difficult to tweak the sensitivity just right. The cameras can supposedly alert on “human” or “face” to reduce false alerts, but it's recognition of either is horrible. The picture is as good as can be expected, very clear and recognizable within about 20 feet of the camera. Night Vision is very good, but the IR lights really attract flying insects to the outside cameras and that can set off the motion detection repeatedly. Cameras have “two way audio” but it's horrible, far too garbled to even be understandable. The microphone on the camera does an okay job of recording sound though. Cameras also have a built-in “spotlight” that can useful, but can also be disabled. I can only give this 3 out of 5 stars, it's just not a five star camera system. But because it's low maintenance and relatively low cost it's a pretty good value for the money. Despite it's quirkiness and shortcomings, it does what I need and I'm happy with it.

No such thing of a wireless security camera. what different is this to a wired one? well the wired one you run a cable for each camera inside your home to connect to the DVR, now you get a wireless so no need to run a cable to inside your house right? Well the camera still need to have power, so! now you going to need a outlet close by for each camera. you going to need to buy an extension cord for each one and run the wires to the closest outlet you have, oh and make sure is an outdoor cord too. If you going to do that? it's better just to get the wired one, no difference! That being said, good cameras overall!
