Ibhave not used it to knead dough. Smoothies are fantastic. It crushes ice perfectly.
there seems to be alot of 5 stars /free item reviews. I bought this bc my vitamix just isn't working as well now that I paid too much for a new jar and blade. I read a review for the ninja from a Vitamix owner and was sold. My sister also has a ninja and it works well. I waited to write the review. I have been using this for several wks 1-2 times a day. I attempted a smoothie bowl but it was not a pretty site. def user fault not the machine. though I have made them in my vitamix w/o knowing they were smoothie bowls. I will base my reviews off of some neg. reviews I have read. yes this is loud but it does not bother me. it may be louder then my vitamix but I just walk away and let the iQ do its thing. if you live in a house with thin walls or in an apartment/condo just be aware it is loud but for 65 seconds not a crisis. The blade. I have cut myself on the blade so be careful. it blends my banana smoothie up well. I did a kale pineapple blend but it wasn't as smooth. I may have had too much water in it. what I love with this ninja over my vitamix: this can sit on my counter top. Has removable blade. Can go in the dishwasher. Has suction cups that really stick to my cheap countertop. Has iQ technology. will it last? not sure but I paid $375 for a refurbished Vitamix 12 yrs ago and then paid $100 for a cheap parts. I'm starting to accept that nothing is built to last. yes I would buy this again and again and yes I will recommend it to friends/family.
I love this Foodie Pitcher-food processor! The blades are still sharp after many years. The lid sits tightly and super secure when in use. The noise is moderate but quiet blenders don't exist 🙂Overall, I love this pitcher!
I've had a ninja for years now and it still is just as reliable as ever. It has so many attachments which makes things easy to use for things from smoothies to blending soups or hummus
I like it for making soothies
The food processor feature is very good. I wish the processor had a blender blade in the bottom as do single blenders have. The dough feature is wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone who needs both a blender and a food processor, but can't afford one of each.
Blends well just really loud.
I love thd way this thing chops and dices. Thf one problem with it is that yhe suction cups on the bottom stick to my granite countertops so hard that it cang be moved at all. The base broke when we tried to move it.
This is a good quality appliance for someone who makes a lot of smoothies or homemade salsa etc. That person is not me, I don't use it often so I store it away and it's quite heavy and awkward to pull out of the cabinet when I need to use it. You have to be very careful of the blades when taking it apart and cleaning it. They are a bit of a hazard.
It literally fell apart when we tried to move it, the whole base is held together with 4 small screws and thin plastic.
