Needed pomegranate in my diet but I couldn't find it anywhere locally, so I tried this and I really liked it! It's freeze dried pomegranate and it's all natural with NO preservatives. It has a slightly tart taste so add a pinch of sugar if you like. According to instructions, I added a tablespoon to my water bottle and it was delicious. Didn't need anything else- can also be used in smoothies, ice creams, cereals, etc. Looking forward to getting creative with it.

This Pomegranate Powder, in its handy container, is as delicious as it looks when it mixes with a liquid! Its bright red, natural color and aroma reminds one of fresh pomegranates because it has been freeze dried; the best method of preservation in my opinion. Beginners wouldn't be surprised at success! I've been putting this pomegranate powder in my smoothies and on my vanilla Ice cream, and I really like it, The flavor is just like eating a real fresh pomegranate, they say that pomegranates are good for your body, I want to try putting this pomegranate powder in a homemade roll like a cinnamon roll and go from there. I mix it in a lot of my food.

I make homemade chocolate truffles, mixed this raspberry powder into the warm chocolate ganache for fantastic raspberry chocolate truffles. Used it to make icing for mini bundt cakes, for a delicious raspberry coating on a vanilla based cake. Highly recommend for home bakers to add raspberry to any baked product. Great product well worth the price.

The product I received was rock hard. I used a knife to break off a small amount to put in a hot drink. Chunks remained in my drink and did not blend in even with vigorous stirring. I have thought about grinding small amounts in my spice grinder but haven't tried this yet. I hesitate because I wonder about the quality of the product. The seal on the jar seemed intact, but I suspect damp conditions contributed to the product solidifying prior to shipping . Perhaps the moisture content in the beets was not low enough when bottled. The use by date was about a year in the future so that was not an issue. I purchased for health reasons but the bottle sits on my kitchen counter unused because I am concerned about it being unhealthy in its current state!

So, the product says one tablespoon is a serving, but even after using three, it didn't taste like pomegranate. Plus, the color wasn't a bright red, and it didn't even look like pomegranate. There was a slight taste, but definitely not pomegranate. So yeah, I can't recommend it and won't be buying it again.
