Great product
I waited several weeks to give a review, so that it was more useful than simply a review on the taste. This is the best value I've ever seen for BCAAs. My training intensity has improved similarly to how it does with creatine supplementation. There's been a visible improvement in my overall body comp (mind you, I train 4-6 days a week and my diet is somewhat clean). So, clearly an effective supplement. The taste is horrible, which is a good sign, since no quality bcaa supp is going to taste good! I've watched videos comparing the difference between quality bcaa powders' mixability and ones that are filled with garbage, and I believe this is up to snuff. I got the unflavored one because I wanted it as simple as possible and with the least amount of unnecessary ingredients possible. The ingredients are just bcaas; nothing more! But don't think for a second that you can comfortably drink this without mixing it lol(and I've consumed all types of herbal supplements that would make the average person projectile vomit at the mere smell of them haha). I use True Lemon packets; fewest sugars and fewest ingredients and it ends up tasting about as good as a powder that's twice as costly. $21 for 90 servings with the ideal 2:1:1 ratio is such tremendous value that I hardly see a point buying BCAAs anywhere else, and will order again, possibly forever
Been using the unflavored bcaa, it's the best bang for the buck. If you don't mix it with something else the taste is pretty awful so I wouldn't recommend doing that, but I never have any flavor expectations for an unflavored powder. Overall nutricost is a solid brand for supplements.
nothing special. I would not get it again it's a waste of money
There is nothing unflavored about this powder. It makes my shake taste horrible. I try not to add too many flavors or fruit so I was hoping this was truly unflavored. I've bought other products from this company and they are fine, no added strong taste, but this one is terrible. It's a good product otherwise so if you don't mind adding fruits and veggies to mask the taste is fine.
chalky and tastes disgusting even though it's supposed to be unflavored. If you're drinking this with somethkng else maybe it can cover the taste, I was able to taste it even with my flavored protein shakes.
this tastes nasty in any drink I try it in! I don't notice if it does anything either. about the only thing good it does is dissolve well!!!
Terrible product and tastes like garbage…
BEWARE of this product!!! It smells like a stinky you know what...and even tastes worse!!! I have the unflavored one and no matter what I mix it with the taste is unbearable. I was laughing at the other bad reviews because they are telling the truth. I've tasted some bad proteins etc but this one is by far the worst smelling and tasting one. DO NOT ORDER THIS!!!
Hi. Over time I tried various BCAA and I certainly know that the ingredients, how they're produced etc. is what really counts. I wanted to try this powder because I was curious how the non-flavored products do. Well, while I admit that the smell is kinda the least important aspect I still have to say that this product is almost unbearable for my nose. I still use (and will finish) it because once it dissolves in water or something else it's not that bad any more but be prepared: the powder itself smells almost exactly like a wet Golden Retriever's fur. May be attractive for all the dog persons out there. Unfortunately though I'm a cat person ... and won't buy it again.
