OK to Wake!

My 2 year old absolutely loves his clock. He gets excited when it turns green in the morning ("Mommy, deen!! Time get up!!"). He also loves that he can turn on the yellow nightlight feature for himself when he wants to. He loves that he can press a button and the little eyes dance around. I love that the adjustment buttons are in a "hidden" compartment that he doesn't mess with yet. My only concern was making sure that the child treats it right. Our first one (a used one) was dropped down the stairs and roughed up a bit (he wanted to carry it up and downstairs in the morning and night), which is why I ended up buying a new one from Walmart.com. In my mind, the second purchase was well worth it for how much enjoyment my child gets from it. If something happens to this one anytime soon, I'm sure I'd buy even another one.

You can adjust the time of the awake light up to 2 hours (you have to read the directions and I believe refer to page 12) which we have done and it has worked out perfectly. We have set it to a time when our child usually wakes and if she is not awake by that time, the awake light will remain lit for 2 hours so when she does wake and sees it she knows it's okay to get out of bed.

This has worked pretty well with my kids so far. If they get up we say go back until the light is green and they get so excited when it is green. I like that it's completely dark when on. I don't like any light in my kids rooms so something with a nightlight is not what I wanted. Although it has a button to turn on a light. I like that it doesn't have to be plugged in so I can put it where I need to so that little hands don't push buttons. Not sure how long the batteries with last as we have only had these a little over a week. I wish you could save some different wake times cause when we put the kids to bed later I want to change the clock to later in the morning, but it is pretty easy to adjust time so it's not a big deal. The face frames are cute I wish they were both the bugs (still different colors) and not a flower and a bug cause the bug has little antennas and the flower doesn't so the girls think theirs was Broken. It's a great value especially buying it through ship to sort at Walmart cause then no shipping and I could return very easily if needed.

My 3 1/2 year old was waking up at 4:30-5:00 every morning. He was told not to get up until the sun comes up, which is what he was doing. In the summer the sun comes up before 5:00am. We explained how the clock worked before we put him to bed. We set the we set the timer, so he could see it light up. The next morning, he called in his room to show us the green light came on. It's worked for us ever since.

I have seen similar color timing clocks for closer to $70...for the price, this is a great product. it's easy to set up and cute. Unfortunately, it's been a little hard getting my little guy to keep quiet until it's green. BUT, at least he stays in bed until it's green. Only complaint...it has it's own nightlight...but, that nightlight turns off after 30 minutes...so I still have to use a separate night light. BUT, that is not a big deal.

I was having trouble finding this product here in Peoria IL so I decided to order 2 of them from Walmart. They arrived quickly. My daughter uses this product with her 4 and 2 year old and really has loved it. So, I decided to give these to the new mothers that I know. Thanks Walmart!

This has been a LIFESAVER with my 4 year old!!! He has been waking up super early and sneaks onto the computer at who knows what time then gets tired and cranky way before naptime. It was rough. Now he goes to the bathroom and gets back in bed till 7am when the light turns green and he knows it's ok to get up. It's a little expensive but 100% worth it for us! It is easy to set up and easy for the child to use. It takes batteries as a backup or to take camping when it's not plugged in to an outlet. - my favorite feature!

I finally bought this for my 2.5 year old. She slept until 7 or 7:30 most days- then the fall time change happened. She began waking up earlier and earlier, as early as 5:30. She struggled until mid January when I purchased this. After talking it up, she was so excited to finally use it when it arrived in the mail. The very next day she slept in and has since, not leaving her room until her clock turns 'green for go'.

My 2 year old would get up just as my husband was leaving for work, 5:30AM. It drove me nuts. Especially when my husband walked out the door saying have a nice day. So I went online while my little one watched and showed him the different clocks and he fell in love with this one. Could not wait to tell everyone about it before we even had it. When we got it home he loved how the thing smiled and would light up. I had to keep it high otherwise it would be destroyed. In the morning he would be up and in his room at 5:30 just waiting for it, by 6:50 he would call out its broken but when turned green the whole world knew. Even the grocery lady and people in line. It's easy to work with and nice to be able to time the night light. He loves it. He's been waking up around 7:30 now so it works!

This was a great idea to get my 3 year old to sleep in. It worked! Only 2 things I don't like about it. 1) it doesn't plug into the wall so u have to use batteries 2)it doesn't stay green for long! So when my son finally slept in he was waiting and yelling for me saying it didn't turn green. The next morning he got up because he thought it was broke again. So now if he isn't up for the time I set I leave his door open so he knows it's ok to get up since it doesn't stay green long.
