I was surprised that this seasoning was so tasty! I expected it to taste more like the traditional Old Bay seasoning, but was pleasantly surprised that it tasted more like a good quality curry powder. I use it on seafood, chicken, pork, and rice! It's well worth the money!
My husband and I really liked this seasoning, we used it on both chicken and shrimp and both tasted awesome without being overly salty or too strong. Definitely going to keep using it and having it in my pantry!
This spice is a MUST in your spice rack. It is a bit heavy on the pepper type taste, so it has a kick to it. It gives chicken a smoky flavor without having it cooked on the grill. If you're unsure about which spices to use, you can simply use this one.
We used this blackened seasoning to make chicken Caesar salad wraps. It's delicious. It's peppery but not spicy and not overpowering. It was the perfect compliment for chicken. We will definitely keep it in rotation. I received this product free to try in exchange for an honest review. I will buy it in the future.
If you like Old Bay and you like Cajun style then you will like this. We received this as a free sample to review and were very pleased with it. We used it on pork chops, chicken, and one day I used it to spice up my cheeseburgers to see how it would be on beef. We aren't big into super spicy or hot and this gave the meat enough zing but not too much. I'm sure if you really loaded it up you could really get your eyes watering. Definitely holds it's own when compared to other Cajun style seasonings.
I received this seasoning for free to review, and I'm genuinely impressed. Compared to other blackened seasonings I've tried, this one has a bold, well-balanced flavor that isn't overly salty or overpowering. It's incredibly versatile and instantly upgrades meats, seafood, and veggies with minimal effort. I would absolutely buy this product myself and would 100% recommend it to friends and family who love big flavor with an easy, go-to seasoning.
I tried this out by making some blackened salmon, and I thought it turned out nicely. What I particularly liked is that you definitely get some of the classic Old Bay flavor, just with the heat turned up a little bit. I think I prefer the original Old Bay, but if you like the idea of that with some heat, this would be for you. I received this complimentary product in exchange for an honest review.
Good flavor, slightly spicier than the original but not as flavorful. I think it needs more blackened flavor. I used it on fish, the same way I use the original. I like it, but find it less flavorful than the original. Original would still be my go-to flavor.
I used the Old Bay seasoning on cod fillets and followed the directions on the tin. The fish turned out perfectly according to the directions. I think I would use a little bit more seasoning next time. The flavor was nice sweet, a little spicy, but a little heavy on the paprika. That's why I only gave it 4 stars
This was a free sample I received in exchange for my review. I put the Old Bay Blackened seasoning on some chicken before grilling it. The seasoning had a clove forward flavor to me which was not my favorite. But overall, it paired nicely with the spicy alfredo pasta I had with the chicken.
