onn. Portable Solid State Drive, 250 GB

This portable solid state drive is very small and very lightweight. I can easily store it anywhere. It comes with a usb cable and a usb-c cable. I copied a lot of pictures and other files onto it, and they all copied quickly. When I opened the files I had loaded onto it, they all opened quickly. I am very happy with it so far. I am using it as a backup for all of my files and pictures.

You do not know you need a product sometimes and until a friend recommends it. My friend suggested that an SAD drive would improve my computer's capabilities. I was skeptical at first but once I began to use it I became a believer. It really does enhance the user experience and accelerates my older device.

The drive itself is amazing, love it. It's tiny, light, and is very fast, truly living up to what was promised. I'm so impressed, and highly satisfied. First, it's been a while since I needed an external hard drive. The thing fits in the palm of my hand and is about as thick as 4 credit cards. The transfer speeds are lighting fast. I have two now, one for my gaming system and another for my phone to download all those photos we take. Outstanding product, highly recommend!

I was really surprised when this came. It is so tiny. It came with a USB-C to USB-C cable as well as a USB-A (traditional USB) to USB-C cable. There's nothine else to really say about this, it's straight forward. If you need extra data storage for your PC or laptop, this will do the trick with fast data transfer and amazing portability...it will fit in the smalles pocket of your pants, shirt, purse, or wherever you want to put it, just be careful you don't lose track of it, it is that small! The quality seems ok, cheap plastic but it seems a bit thicker than most things made these days, and the drive itself has a slight texture on it so it has a nice feel and also does not attract every finger print you tough it with. Now with the USB-C to C cable you can transfer data, photos, videos etc from a mobile device such as your phone or tablet provided said device has a USB-C connection/charging port. Lastly, being that this drive is SSD (Solid State Drive), it's like a memory card and has no moving parts to fail. This is the latest technology being used today on most if not all new PC's and laptops being made, so it is far more reliable and MUCH faster than traditional (now 'old fashioned) hard drives that had multiple disk 'platters' and moving needles that moved pieces of information from one spot to another to put a whole document, picture, video, sone or program together and display if for use, which is what always caused hard drives to slow down and become 'fragmented,' thus requiring a 'disk defragmentation' and 'cleanum'. The SSD drives however do not have that issue and are fast and will stay fast, as well as they are more reliable and having no moving parts whatsoever, will last years longer than a traditional hard drive.

Not as quick processing data as a SSD drive., but not real, bad.

My boyfriend uses this to store games for his Xbox and it works great. the memory is huge so he is able to fit a lot of games on this. I definitly recommend

The Keep Onn portable solid state drive is perfect for storing everything I need. I like that it is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Chromebook. It's compact and fits absolutely everywhere. It's fast portable storage that provides sixty four thousand twelve MP photos as well as twenty one hours of HD video recording and movies. This also comes with USB-C cable. Definitely use this drive a lot.

I originally purchased this portable solid state hard drive for my AirTv 2 as it calls for an external hard drive in order to record over the air tv shows. However, the AirTv 2 did not recognize this drive and wouldn't consistently record and tv shows. So now I have a nice inexpensive solid state drive to add on to my computer. Just a side note, it doesn't have a functioning light to show that it's on.

Inexpenisve and was working great for 6 months, then as i was trying to open a file it froze. Replugged it in, only heard the beep boop saying it detected the device, but the drive would not show up. Did a little digging and something happened (hardware failure or bad sectors) where it made the partition unallocated! Lost 300 gb of family memories. Used recovery software and was unable to recover barely anything. Granted you can reassign a drive pathway and format it to get it working again, but all the files are lost. Bottom line, buy a reputable brand or risk it, and make sure don't procrastinate in doing a backup.

I had the same experience as another 1 star reviewer. I began transferring files and everything appeared to be going as expected. All the sudden, the drive disappeared, and won't work on any computer I have since tried. It worked for maybe 15 minutes. I have tried to get it to mount on a Mac, Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS machine...all to no avail. I guess I now have a $40 paper weight because I don't want to return in on the remote chance someone could get it to work and access my files.
