This probably the best price to quality balance you will get buying buckwheat. If you have discovered pseudo cereals . Well you have now found the best of the bunch in superior quality.
Delicious and wonderful kasha. If you are looking for the good old grechka kasha, you found it. Made it in my rice cooker (I know!) and it turned out great. Not mushy like the buckwheat from Honeywell (cough, cough). Definitely worth the money.
Clean and well toasted groats that are ready to cook. The packing is good in a resealable bag. Strongly recommend this product. Delivery was on time. Very happy with the service.
This is a delicious dish morning or evening. In the morning I cook it up and add some fruit. In the evening you can add vegies and mushrooms as a side dish. Delicious and very good for you.
I was having a hard time finding tasted buckwheat, or Kasha, when I found this. This product is good quality and cooks up well.
This buckwheat is a good buy. Easy to order, delivered quick and finally taste great. We mix this with différent other grains like quinoa to cook.
Excellent quality, and it came in two bags of 12 1/2 pounds each, which is much more convenient for me
I use it for bread, it's white buckwheat not roasted
"Product of China", "Packaged in USA". Not Product of USA! If we hadn't opened it, we would have returned it when we noticed it says "Product of China", "Packaged in USA". Photos attached.
Fine print on package shows PRODUCT OF CHINA, but sorted/processed at Brooklyn, NY facility (and USDA says organic--how can they really know??) This kasha/buckwheat has small dark grains, cooks up differently, and is nothing like the American (or Russian) kasha. Like many food items from China, it seems to have a sugar additive of some sort (tastes slightly sweet, and we got a mild sugar reaction from it). It did not give us energy, unlike American truly organic kasha/buckwheat. Would like to return the 2nd bag (unopened). If this is the way Food to Live deals with their grains, I will not be ordering anything more from them. Do not recommend.
