Ortega Hot Fire Roasted Diced Green Chiles, Kosher, 4 oz (Canned)

I purchased the Ortega hot fire roasted diced green chiles hoping to add a little spice to my meal and it did not disappoint. I used them to make green chili chicken tacos, I do prefer a little extra spicy to my meal and this was great. Not overwhelmingly hot but definitely kicked it up a notch from the regular. Would recommend to anyone that wants a little more spicy but again not too overwhelming where all you taste is the spice, this was just the right flavor and spice.

I liked these green chiles. I enjoyed the flavor because they have a nice roasted taste, and the pieces are a good size. They come ready to use, which makes them very convenient. I think they're great to add to tacos, eggs, or different Mexican dishes. They are actually a bit spicy, but they taste really good.

I bought the Ortega hot fire, roasted diced green chilies. These were diced into small pieces so it made it easy to mix up. The peppers had a very nice taste. They were very spicy so it helped to have some other cooling ingredients. They had a nice taste even though they were spicy. You could really taste the chilies and they brought a nice enhancement to the casserole. They were easy to find at the store and a good price for the product. I would recommend these if you're needing some spice for a Mexican type casserole.

I used these green chilies in my chicken enchilada recipe. I usually opt for the mild ones but I chose the hot this time and boy was it a great choice. My husband has requested I make these all the time!

These chiles added a smoky flavor and heat to our dinner. The texture was tender (not mushy) and easy to mix into tacos without overpowering the rest of the meal. I would recommend if you enjoy a little extra spice and roasted flavor.

I was pleasantly surprised. Most things that say that they are hot really aren't. But this had a nice little kick to it! I would definitely recommend and buy these again because they were priced very reasonably as well.

These hot fire-roasted diced green chiles pack much more heat than regular diced green chiles. The smoky roasted flavor is great, and the spice really stands out. Perfect for tacos or chili if you like your food with an extra kick.

These are good but not as the flame roasted chili that I prefer and not really very hot. I'd call them medium heat. Green chili favor is decent but not great. I lived in Las Cruces, NM for years and grew a bit spoiled on the best of the Hatch Valley crops. Flame roasted chili has bits of chili skin char floating in the can or jar with the skinned chili. These were clean from the small cans. I used four cans in my stew and was left wanting more roasted flavor and added heat.

It's relatively bland. It has an okay amount of heat. Overall I think it could use a bit more salt and heat. The ingredients are simple and it adds a bit more flavor and texture to a dish.

I got these to add to white chicken chili, instead of adding cayenne pepper to the recipe. They were plenty spicy for me (I don't like a lot of spice). But, I don't love the ingredients. I don't know where the extra spice is coming from, but I don't think these need natural flavors and other additives in them. So, I will buy another brand next time with simpler ingredients.
