Great flavor, and I love that it has lard as the fat and not some inflammatory oil. The flavor tastes so much more authentic. Thank you!
Next to from scratch refried beans these are the best brand of canned beans. Just add some finely chopped onion, a dollop of bacon fat and fry them in a skillet and they are really tasty. The small cans are convenient for two people for several meals.
I am a California native, and refried beans were only Rosarita! Their taste, texture and flavor, beat them all. When we moved here to retire 20 years ago. The local stores had never heard of them😱😱😱. So we rallied with the Kroger generic brand. Then we found a small Mexican grocer hidden in the old neighborhood in Mayfield. She said she knew of them. Come back in two weeks to see how it comes out. Two weeks later, she had the large cans of Rosarita on the shelf!!😃😃😃. She tried them and agreed! Yay butt they don't beat homemade! I prefer to purchase though!
This product has been a staple in our family for years. My kids love a quick and easy bean and cheese burrito and this kind of beans does the trick. My kids are very picky and all of them surprisingly agreed to eat this when I make it for dinner lunch or a quick snack.
these rosarita refried beans are absolutely the most delicious brand don't even consider buying like an El Paso or other name brand pick up the rosarita because they are creamy and rich on their own I do still add a little bit of milk to mine in addition to a little bit of butter and cheese I do like to cut up some jalapenos dice some small and add garlic powder chili powder and just a dash of oregano and this is a meal on its own they are reasonably priced at Walmart and absolutely delicious to the last drop go for rosarita trust me you won't be disappointed
Rosarita refried beans are a constant re-buy in our house! We love Mexican food and it's just not the same without a can of these bean. A couple things- I always add a small amount of water to the pot when warming them up. It helps to loosen them up and don't effect the flavor. Also, be sure to gently agitate the can in the store before you buy it. If it's not pretty solid, grab a different one — every now and then, the store doesn't FIFO and a can or two can go bad.
Rosarita refried beans have the best flavor of any canned refried beans I've eaten. My husband is a burrito eater and this is his go to brand for a good burrito. They are surprisingly hard to find in Eastern PA so I was very happy to find them in online shopping with Walmart.
The flavor is pretty bland. Being mexican and growing up having always made our own refried beans, i'm going to be picky. But for times I'm feeling a bit lazy or decide last minute I need refried beans, I will use these just have to add a lot of my own seasoning to adjust the flavor and they will be just fine. I just feel sad that people who aren't accustomed to homemade beans have only ever tried this and think this is the hype we make over frijoles, because it's not lol.
After using this for twenty or more years, the color the last few years is lighter, and a lot of whole beans not mashed up totally different texture and color, doesn't affect the taste , just have to mash up myself, sorry rosarita spoiled me over the years.
I wanted smooth refried beans like you get in the restaurants, and these are not them! These have whole beans in with the smooth ones, and it was not good. I guess that's what Rosarita calls “Traditional”, so be forewarned. I went back to the store and found a Rosarita smooth restaurant style refried beans! So I bought those.
