I never go without this on Mexican night
I recommend any of Rice-A-Roni's box rice… This particular one is so good with any Mexican meal that you prepare… I personally like to have this with my tacos, or when I make chicken and chorizo… Either way it has a very good flavor and I will always buy Rice-A-Roni

Easy to prepare
I like it to make stuffed bell pepper or as a side for tacos or tamales. I add a little extra salsa for seasoning as a substitute for the added water. Adds a zesty flavor to the rice. Priced is reasonable. Easy to prepare.

I like all these Rice a Roni flavored rice dishes. I made this and added seasoned stewed tomatoes, chopped onion, and it made a wonderful side dish for my patient. I had some, too!

Good to keep on hand in the pantry
This is great either as a stand alone side or built with chicken and salsa in a casserole. I always try to keep a box or two in the pantry for meal planning.

OKay good price
well you see, I know how to make authentic "spanish rice" this brand is okay if you don[t know how add a small can of diced green chillier ( its not hot) and or a can of rotel tomatoes.

Good rice option
Favorite Mexican rice. Love adding hamburger to it and making a full meal from it. Easy directions and can taste all flavors, doesnt take like our of a box.

It's ok
It's ok. Not the classic taste of authentic Mexican rice but it's Rice-a-Roni's version so it's not bad. I wouldn't call it a "San Francisco Treat" though.

Not for me.
So, I followed the direction on the box to a T! And the rice did not get soft. So I ourchased another box and added more liquid and the rice was mushy. Mmm, I won't purchase again.

Product shelving risks
Typically I have no issue with this item. I get it very often. However this product just wasn't handled professionally in my opinion. The box was warped.. which normally means it was wet at some point and when I opened it to check the rice it was molded. I understand that the risk of something being wrong with a product vs not and wanting to put it on shelves.. but risking it means bad reviews unfortunately. It's disappointing.. I wanted to enjoy Mexican rice with my burritos.
