Great product
So first off, the ones i got did not look like the ones in the picture. However, i love these. I live in a area with high humidity, which attracts roaches. It sucks, but we do what we can do to stop them. And these work wonders. They work instantly. At least the ones i got. They are a glue trap with a food bair tablet. I love ortho.
Always looking for something that small and discreet to put out for the bugs. I don't like to have any little pesky things and I'm always worried about the regular sticky pads and my puppy getting caught on them but this looks like it won't have that worry attached to it.
I live in an RV and I don't care what I try, bugs get in through the cubby holes on the outside of my trailer. I have a cat do I don't want to use dangerous chemicals but things like Borax and peppermint oil just weren't working. When I saw these traps I was very excited to try them. I placed them in the cubby holes and just left them there for a week. At the end of the week I was amazed at how well they worked (and a little grossed out that there were so many). I will definitely keep buying these to stop as many as I can from getting in and am also going to buy a few extras for inside cabinets to trap any that get past the ones in the cubby holes.
I've been fighting roaches for years here in Florida. I put out these bate boxes and small black plastic traps that are supposed to catch and kill them but, that hasn't worked out so well in the past. The black plastic traps seemed too small for my big fat Florida roaches to fit into. And, any bate just seems to make them fatter rather than dead. Well, finally a solution: The Ortho Home Defense Roach Glue Traps! Wow, these things are big and roomy enough that will allow my big FAT roaches to enter with ease. The sticky surface inside is really super sticky. It should have no problem holding these big fat buggers. Just put the bate pill in the center and place it where you see roach evidence and wait for them to get stuck going after the bate pill. See the pictures for the results!
The roaches are hibernating somewhat due to the cool weather but they'll be coming out soon. I'm ready for them with these Ortho traps. My shed is where they get bad. I like the sticky traps like these, catches the roach so they don't wonder off and die in places you don't want them to be. Careful not to get your fingers on the sticky pad, it won't let go. No need for poisons that my cats could get into. There is no noticeable odor either. These are pretty simple to set up, it just takes a few minutes then strategically set them out where roaches hang out.
When I received this I put one under my pantry. It was big enough at the bottom to slide it through. I checked it a week later and there were a couple of bugs so it is doing it's job. It is nice sized. My reason for only 4 stars is that it is too high to fit underneath my refrigerator or stove. Also the pill is poisonous and I have dogs.
These work ok. They have super sticky paper so any roaches that enter it are definitely stuck. The issue is i dont think the little pill works all that well as incentive. Used the pill no roaches. Put a piece of food inside caught many. So yes to trap no to the pill. Roaches dont want a pill they want food.
I was really excited to try a different product to combat our roach problems but after thirteen days not single roach-or any other bug- has touched it. Product looks exactly the same as the day I put it out. Will continue to keep it out in hopes that it will work.
Well i think we have escape artists roaches and down south those huge palmeto bugs "giant nasty roaches" i have yet for any roaches to be trapped in the glue. Please understand and those in the south will understand that the palmeto bugs will get in the house no matter how well the house is sealed. Ours is very well sealed. The only thing trapped in the trap is one roach leg, the cats got the remainder of them. Set up is completely simple and the glue is super strong so thats a plus. Not getting roaches is disappointing im just glad we dont have a huge infestation.
