OXO SoftWorks 1.5-inch Natural Pastry Brush

This is really a classic brush with sturdy handle and strong bristles. I find this easier to sue than the silicone as it gives the items your brushing a good coating. It's easy to wash also just use soap and water.

This is a solid choice for a bristle brush. It has a good "flick" to it and the bristles are firm in the handle.

This is an excellent brush. I used it for the first time on very delicate pastry and it worked very well. I have other brushes that have not performed well but this one did. I only used it a few times and have hand washed it but so far no bristles have come out which is a big concern over other cheap brushes. For the price I recommend it. Nice angled head and held a lot of egg wash compared to cheap brushes.

The natural bristles work so much better than all the silicon ones out there. It was hard to find natural bristles.

I bought this pastry brush because I had been using a paint brush to apply soft butter to bread before toasting. I had used that for well over a year and decided that if it did that kind of job, an Oxo pastry brush should be great. I have loved all the Oxo products that I had bought before. Quite honestly, the paint brush that I used before was a one inch paint brush that I paid $ for at the hardware. This brush was delivered to me on March 13. About the first of April, I started noticing bristles on the bread after spreading the butter. Today was the worst (April 5th), I pulled about 20 bristles from one piece of bread (some were matted and I didn't want to pull them apart so I defaulted at 2 for the purposes of my count). I could have gone to Dollar Tree and bought 9 paint brushes for what I paid for the one Oxo (knowing that the quality would not be there for the Dollar Tree brushes but not expecting less than a month out of a name brand pastry brush). My advice is to pass on this one unless you're looking for a good one-and-done brush.

I have bought OXO for years add have like their products, until now. This is the worst!! I was using it to put butter on my the bottom of a casserole dish and the bristles were coming out! They were all over the bottom of the dish!! I will never buy this product again!! Horrible!!!

The brush material fell out and strands of it ending up in the food I was basting. It went into the trash

It is a very bad brush, when you use it, the bristles fall out and end up in the food. It is useless. They should give me my money back.

I purchased a pastry brush 15 years ago and it is just now shedding. This brush,which I bought in October is sherring so bad I can't use it. Horrible.
