Ozark Trail Sun Shelter Tent, 8' x 6', UV Protectant Coating

It's under $40, don't expect the world for that price. Light-weight and easy to assemble, blocks just enough of the sun and does a decent job of taming the wind. Set it up today 6-13-26 in 20mph wind and with minimal staking, it did the job well enough.

Great for the beach days in the Sun. Assembly was basically simple, all you need to know is that the extension rods will "chris- cross" with each other at the top of the tent, then you can fill the "sand bags" to weight the tent down or whatever. Disassembly is very easy and everything fits right back into the carry bag that it comes with. True to the picture given and size is great.

This is absolutely the best sunshade for the beach ever❣️ Comes with attached bags to fill with sand....also very versatile as it comes with metal stakes if you have it set up on hard ground.......net on backside and no floor ....only has 2 poles for an easy simple set up.....great price and a great product ❣️

can't beat this price! very easy to put up, i've never assembled a tent before but i was able to get this assembled on my own in less than 20 mins. worked great for what i needed. our yard receives full sunlight, so originally i wanted a gazebo for some shade but decided that would take up too much space (we already have a large swing set, a pool, our grill and outdoor dining table and chairs, a tiny kids picnic table, and a garden, etc. and need space for a pond) this was small enough that my three kids and three dogs still have plenty of space to run around the yard but also big enough to perfectly fit our patio set. this is the perfect little shaded spot for us. the “uv protectant” is a bonus so the kids can have a spot to relax after running around and not risk a sunburn. it hasn't rained yet but it seems like it'll offer enough space to hopefully keep my patio cushions dry. i'm looking forward to sitting under this tent all summer long

The directions for assembly were a waste of paper. We eventually figured it out- it took 2 people with MBAs about 40 minutes on a very hot beach. If I could suggest to the manufacturer, vent the back wall d it so that air can go through it. I think it would be a more enjoyable place to sit.

It's definitely high-quality, but you have to be ready to spend a good amount of time setting it up. If you've ever set up a regular camping tent with poles, etc., this is very similar. I can't imagine setting this up every day on a beach vacation. For that reason, I'm returning it.

If you are looking for a quick set up, this is not it. There are two long poles required to stabilize it. Although, once assembled, I had no issues with coverage. I used the sand bags to keep it grounded. The assembly took us about 30-45 minutes to figure out without an instruction manual. We watched a video several times on the Walmart website. Once you're at the beach, the last thing you want to do is fight with assembling a tent. However, the price was reasonable.

I've set up at least 5 camping tents, by myself, and while occasionally something would get annoying, it was always quick to figure out. Not this thing. Holy cannoli. I first tried without directions because I am experienced. Then I tried using the in-bag provided instructions. Awful. Essential information was omitted. Typos, I suppose (altho there are egregious diagrams, too). Then I watched a video, the only one I found for this exact item, which was not helpful. Finally I looked at the photo on the front of the bag. That was all I needed, all along. I was so excited to FINALLY get it set up properly. But the disappointment that immediately followed was enormous. It doesn't provide shade at the very rear nor the very front, and it cannot easily be moved because the tent poles are so slippery in the shallow, loose holes. I feel like the design team could have figured out how to make this product 10x better with maybe 20 more minutes of brainstorming/evaluating. You would be hard pressed to find something larger for a better price; that is the only redeeming factor. Breathability is also good.

This came with no instructions whatsoever. We finally got it put together after 45 minutes of struggle only to have it collapse at the slightest gust of wind. Do not waste your money on the product unless you plan on using it inside or somewhere with zero wind. Honestly I'm not sure it's sturdy enough to stay up anywhere. Returning it.

Bought this on our way to the beach out of convenience. On our first attempt, it took us 30 minutes to assemble. The instructions were not intuitive and the design is very challenging to maneuver. Determination is the only thing that eventually got it set up. Our second time using it we hoped our first experience would facilitate. One of the sticks broke during the set up process preventing it from staying up correctly. We had to then throw it away. Do not waste your money, time or energy!!!
