Panacea Products Metal Pole Mount Squirrel Baffle, 15 Inch Black

The Audubon squirrel baffle was exactly what I was looking for at a good price. It was well-built, easy to assemble and easy to attach to a bird feeder pole at the desired height. Excellent alternative to the usual cone-shaped baffle; this is because the cylindrical baffle presents less top space than the cone baffle for bird droppings. The method of attaching the baffle to the pole is not perfect. Common to almost all squirrel baffles, the attachment method is a thin metal clip that surrounds the pole and is screw-clamped tight. The baffle rests on the clip. Over time, these clips tend to slip down the pole due to the weight of the baffle. This slip can be stopped either by using a clamp of one's pwn choosing or by wrapping a few turns of duct tape around the pole below the clip after installation.

Works great. The squirrels just sit and look at it and get tired of not being able to get up there. But make sure you get the label off before you put it up because it's very difficult to get it off and if you leave it on the squirrels use that to dig their claws in and get the bird feed

Value was good. Quality is good. Installation is quick. BUT, they don't put this product in a box. So the label is adhered to the actual item, and goes all the way around it. I had to soak it in water for a few hours, so I could remove the label with a plastic scraper. Then I had to get the rest of the glue off with goo-gone. Then I was able to install it.

This baffle seemed okay until the squirrels really started to try climbing it. A squirrel got its foot stuck in the seam. It couldn’t get out and was crying in pain. We had to disassemble the baffle to get the squirrel out. This sounds easier said than done. It took time and caused the squirrel more pain. I didn’t want the squirrels eating the bird food but I don’t want a squirrel hurt. I would not recommend this.

I ordered this for my bird buddy feeder. Squirrels have taken over the feeder and I need some defenses. The first baffle I ordered came bent and without the coupler, which is needed for use. The second one arrived also without the coupler. I am giving up and going to buy a coupler because I am tired of waiting for a complete product to arrive. This is really disappointing because it says on the product that the coupler is included.

We have the second one that was sent to replace the first one. Same problem, the "black coupler" that is used to holed this up is MISSING. That is not acceptable.because this is now just a round hunk of metal and is not usable for what we paid money for.

So poorly made that after half an hour trying to put ut together - I nearly gave up. the 4 interior mounting point do not line up! the edges do not overlap so it is almost impossible to assemble! Don't buy....

What a waste of time when Walmart delivers it without the included coupler. Having to go through the hassle of returning it and reordering. The product itself is heavier than the total weight if my feeder pole, so I don't know whether to recommend it or not.

I own an AUDUBON Baffle, which has the ADUBON label on it. and is made in the USA. This is a knock-off . The label says: Wild Bird Lovers, made in China. THE Audubon baffle is all one piece, it's solid and well made (I got a pole from Outdoor Living Accents, that is two pieces you screw together in the middle, so putting on the Audubon baffle is easy). I'm giving it only one star ,and even that is being generous. I have no idea if it'll work, it's not one soli piece; it attaches to itself, "clipped" together in the middle. The one star is because of the dishonesty in using the name "Audubon", so people will think it's up to Audubon standards in quality.

I purchased a 3 pack of the baffles and only 1 was undamaged and immediately ready to hang. 1 was functional after much manipulation however the 3rd baffle was completely defective, cannot be assembled due to broken screws, and it is even missing the mounting hardware. Other product reviews that I unfortunately read after purchase indicate this is a known issue. I discovered the deficiency after I'd already opened and mounted 2 of the 3 baffles. I want to be made whole by exchanging the defective baffle for a working one OR have a partial refund. Please reach out to help remedy.
