Pen + Gear Plastic Stretch Wrap, 5 in. x 1000 ft., Clear

I've used a number of different brands over the years as I do a decent amount of shipping and I've found the "free-rolling" handle design of this 1000 foot roll (and the 1000 foot ONLY) of Pen Gear stretch wrap to be THE BEST that I've found on the market and the wrap itself is great quality too. It's stretches nicely and clings well. I've used it to bind together big and bulky items for shipping and this stuff keeps them nice and tight so they don't shift and potentially rip through the shipping box. Unfortunately my local Walmart keeps this in their local inventory but no longer offers it on the retail shelf so it has to be ordered online and then can be picked up at the store moments later. I don't understand this concept. Perhaps it's not like this at other locations. Anyway, they offer a 500 foot roll, also Pen Gear brand, that they sell in-store and on the retail shelf but the two piece handle is utter garbage and causes it to bind up when gripping the handle because the outer handle presses in on the inner handle, so it causes hand fatigue and is just an irritant to use. So, my advice is to buy this 1000 foot roll even if you don't think you'll need this much of it. If you need to make the stretch wrap tighter on the item you're wrapping, simply reach up with your thumb on the roll while holding the handle as normal. Great product, highly recommend it and I'm grateful to Walmart for having it.

This wrap is amazing and has been so helpful during our move to a new home. The wrap clings well - you just need to make sure you overlap at least 6 inches on itself to hold well. We disassembled several 48"x72" wire shelving units and wrapped the 4 poles together in two spots (one at each end) then wrapped 3 shelves together (at each end of the narrower sides and once around the entire length). The wrap prevented the pieces from sliding in my SUV and made lifting and moving so easy. Another great use was to protect my larger framed art pieces. I placed cardboard (longer than the artwork) on the front side, folded the cardboard around the top and bottom edges to protect the frame, then secured the cardboard to the artwork with this wrap.

Easy to use on regular %26 irregular items doesn't damage surfaces like some tapes. Seals well- boxes, outdoor twigs%26 limbs, holds patio furniture covers in place. Doesn't get gooey or sticky.

Great for wrapping cords together, wrapping items for storage, using in place of tape especially for holiday items that will use again and again, even used to wrap foot that had bandage so could take a shower, endless uses.

I am using it to help wrap furniture for moving. It is easy to start and easy to wrap/unwind. It seems to be doing well and I am very pleased with it. I am glad I got 2 since this should make organizing so much easier.

This product is awesome. It's great to hold your dresser and chest drawers closed while moving. It also worked great to wrap my rolling cleaning cart so I could move it without emptying it.

It gets the job done; and the ease of maneuvering its handle, while simultaneously holding down whatever is being wrapped, is easily accomplished. I've also used it to seal the lids of plastic bins with heavy items with ease. ot also helps allows for good gripping after the bins are moved and stacked. And in the stacking processes, they don't shift around.

This product is total crap. It's so flimsy it breaks when you try to stretch it out. It's just awful. I am so sick of being sold this type of product. You've got to source better products. All you're doing is creating garbage for a landfill when you release a product that is as horrible is this one!

Ordered because it could be delivered next day but did not. Then told to wait until they could give me more information. But never did. Still need it, however it seems that I should use a more reliable source or one that has options and informs customers when such a simple order can be completed.

Material is too thin compared to others so can't stretch well without breaking. Price looked good for 1000' compared to other products but have to use twice as much and is just a pain because it kept breaking.
