PENN General Purpose Level Wind Reel, 9 Size Fishing Reel

The reel was a Father's Day gift for my husband and he loves it. He has used this type of reel for several years and was afraid the company didn't make them anymore. Imagine his relief when he found the reel on Walmart.com.

I didn't know that Walmart sold this product I would recommend it to all salmon fishermen and it's an excellant price

I have not started to use the real yet but I have had same model in past. It,s retail price is priced right so it is a bargain at this price. Penn is not as reliable as it was years ago but still reliable. It makes a good striper downline reel when paired with a striper rod.

The Penn Reel 209M appears to be a very good reel, when it is manufactured without defect. My order included two Penn 209 reels. One worked as it should. The other is not usable. I will contact Walmart to return the reel and ask for a replacement.
