Pennington Classics Dove & Quail Food, Wild Bird Seed Mix, 5 Pounds

I have a pair of white doves. I've had them since they were born. They were abandoned, and I raised them since they couldn't survive in the wild because they've never been. I found them as babies and took them in a Halk had gotten the mother. So I took them in and named him Ricky and Lucy and I needed to make sure that they had some good Feed. I finally found the right kind that has a little bit of everything they need. The kernels are healthy. They can easily eat it like they would normally do as birds do on the ground. This food is also good for squirrels. You can watch other animals fill your birdfeeders. It has great entertainment for a child to see when wildlife eats but sometimes we have to help them and that's what I do.

Love these seeds for quail %26 doves. Easy to feed and if we have 1/2 a watermelon I put it in that and they love it. In the mornings the quail %26 doves are lined up waiting for this feed! I enjoy seeing them each day. I'm not getting other bully birds in.

I have a lot of quails and doves that are daily visitors. I have other seeds that I use also but this truly is a mix for doves and quails. They LOVE it! Surprisingly, it lasts quite a while too. Have used this now for a couple of years.

I buy this for my pet Doves. They love it and eat the majority of it. Price is good. But could do without the solid pieces of corn or looks like maybe even white popcorn whole seeds in it. This can only be used as a filler because most birds don't eat whole corn of any kind. Doves and other soft beak birds this product is designed for don't have the break ability to break those. Even my parrots won't touch whole corn of any kind. Loose the fillers, stick to the seeds that birds actually eat and benefit from and keep the price point the same it would be perfect.

Disappointed when I received this and realized it's no different than what I call the cheap seed you can buy basically anywhere. I could have purchased a 40lb bag for what I paid for this one.
