The doves love this seed! The good thing is that some seeds in this mix are also for humans to grow for "human consumption". Yup, that's right...the "Field Peas" are the little round white -aboutu the size of a "Green Pea", and easy to grow. I put the seed out for my doves, then the rain %26 wind came. some of the Field Peas after a few days of soaking in rain water, began growing a 'Tap Root'. The tap root is the key to growth of a seed...and shows you it's ready for planting in dirt. Then when you see it grow, once it's time to harvest. Here's some directions for planting them: These seeds need at least 40-degrees for the seed to germinate-get the tap root. Next plant them about 1-2 inches into the dirt. Water them to keep the dirt moist. Plant them in direct sunlight. they take anywhere from 60-90-days to get to a full plant ready to harvest, and I saw these seeds start growing about 3-inches in two weeks. There's other seeds inside that humans can also consume, and that's the "Sunflower Seeds" Some of these seeds are cut off, but if you put them in dirt/compost mix(compost is not needed to grow these seeds, but recommended) and grow inside to start the seeds if you want to, then plant them outside after they become a seedling, or when you want them out of your sunny window. In 55 to 100-days, your sunflower should be very tall %26 ready for harvest. by growing the very seeds you feed your birds with, you can increase nutrition values for the birds, and have the seed right there for them to get fresh. I began raising doves when the Mom %26 Dad Doves landed in my Mom's hanging plant basket in 2023. I called the Linsay Wildlife Museum-a place where you can take any wild animal, bird, or call them for advice. They told me the hanging basket is fine, and the Mom %26 Dad usually feed the baby birds until they can fly on their own. I've taught these baby doves from their birth different words like "Fly" , "Breakfast", "Fresh Water", even "Sunset" as they love to watch the sunset with me usually every day. They're very smart %26 will respond with their wings-and just before they fly, they always get in a good stretch! So I stretch with them, now they respond when I say, "Let's Stretch", they get they're little wings moving into a stretch...this usually happens at 'dusk' when they fly back to where there new home is; even though they know they're home is here, they sleep at the lake around the corner from me. Then they fly away; to return for breakfast the next day. Even the little birds love this seed! Some of the seed is too big for them, but they sort through that %26 get what they want. Overall, this is a very good seed. There's a few other ones I use as well from Walmart.com, like the Fruit %26 Nut " Kaytee Wild Bird Food Nut %26 Fruit Blend", plus there's "3-D Pet Products Premium Dove %26 Quail Wild Bird Food, 6 lb., 1 Pack, Dry" food -copy %26 paste these in the Walmart.com website. Overall, these seeds are great! Enjoy!;)

Our pet dove really enjoys this food. The vet says our dove is healthy and has gained the proper weight while eating this food.

I have 9 Diamond Doves and they eat it all so as long they will eat it like they do now I will keep giving it to them. So glad to get it delieved makes it easy.

My Dove, love it.. ❤️ it's very great food.. but the only thing I didn't like was the price, was a bit high.. I can get it cheaper else where.. but the food is great.. I just like to make my money go farther..

Scattered on ground near bird feeder, Doves started eating it immediately. Have Doves coming and going all day. Added bonus Cardinals love this too. Couple built their nest in trees near feed. Can set on deck and watch them.

The mourning doves that visit prefer a non GMO variety. More expensive but they love it and the squirrels don't like it 👍

i ordered the dove seed and DID NOT receive it. Instead, they delivered parakeet seed that I did not order. I emailed the company as soon as my package was delivered and still haven't heard back from them. It's been a week.
