first thing to do is to replace all the bolts wiith 1 and 1/4 bolts hex head. And replace all nuts with elasric stop nuts. this will prevent losing some in the future
Not as well made as the work mate I had years ago. That being said nothing is being made as items from years ago. Assembly of this item is not very easy. An extra set of hands would be recommended.
Assembly was easy, the instructions are nothing more than an exploded view of the table. It's not for heavy duty applications or construction contractors. It folds up flat, holds 200 lbs, and works well for my DIY projects.
Exactly what I needed. A light weight foldable work surface that I could attach a small vice to. My first job was to drill a hole in a piece of 1/4” plate using the built in clamps.
Bought for household projects
Assembly was manageable but frustrating. The thing that I didn't like the most was the way the two cranks operate. You have to turn them a little at a time back and forth. It's not like you don't know that there are two cranks, what you see is what you get. But when you actually get a chance to try it out with your own two hands, it leaves you wanting more. It's not very sturdy either.
This is really a light duty bench. Easy to assemble but not sure of its durability at this point. The short wood screws that hold the "boards" to the vice part should have small bolts as these screws will probably tear out easily as the "boards" are basically compressed sawdust. In its defense, it was far and away the least expensive unit I could find. Should be OK for weekend warrior with limited use.
Sturdy and fits my bill as an extra hand/man.
The assembly instructions are woefully brief. Twice, I had to disassemble and reassemble parts because they do not tell you which way the two leg frames (%235) should be positioned. There are different ways to connect parts to make the legs point inward or outward, and to have the hinged pieces bend the wrong way. And where there were supposed to be eight (8) washers (%23 7), there were only five (5).
worst product ive ever seen in my life! no directions!! no nutts %26 bolts to put the f thing togetyer its ahit
