I bought the large JW Nail clippers at my local pet supply store and was absolutely in love with the clean cut they had. I am a professional groomer, seeing anywhere from 7-10 dogs daily. These held up so nicely for the large breeds, I decided to purchase the smaller pair, known as the medium. They cut just as smooth, however, the close latch doesnt stay put when ajar and clippers are in use like my large pair. Hence, why the 4 stars. I feel as though maybe I had gotten a defective pair. My groomer gals that purchased the larger pair have this issue as well, even though I only have the issue with my medium size. Overal, happy with the cut, just wish there was more consistency with the latch.

Not the same as what is pictured or described, these are NOT for a medium sized dog, unless you consider a chihuahua a medium sized dog, these are tiny. I will be returning them. I noticed that package does not state for what size dog, they look like a knock off.
