Works well to keep both of my cats off of my kitchen island. They jumped up there once while the mat was turned on and immediately jumped off. They were not injured. As long as the mat is in place, they never jump on the kitchen island. I don't even need to turn it on at this point. I'll be ordering another for a different part of the kitchen.

I love it. It took my cat 49 times to figure out that first night he didn't want on the counter. The next night 11. He hasn't been on the counter since, yay! The next counter I set up he only tried getting on it once. I highly recommend getting these to keep cats off of any counters or tables. They are so easy to set up and use.

We have a new young dog. He's super friendly and gentle but he does want to chew. The scat mat is saving our mattress.

These mats have been very helpful in keeping our 3 cats away from areas where we don't want them.

I have been using these mats for more than 30 years to keep my cats out of mischief. (My first and second mats still works great!) I like sleeping with my cats, but unfortunately one of them is a very early riser! I needed a wider one to fit under the bedroom window so the cat wouldn't bang on the shutters at 4 a.m. to wake us up. The new one is even better than the older two. I like that it's narrow so it's easy for us to reach the window. An older mat keeps the cats from scratching at the bedroom door after we throw them out. I don't even have to put batteries in that one any more, they won't stand on it. The mats have kept past cats from jumping on the dining table. I lent the oldest one to a friend to keep her cat off the kitchen counter. No cat parent should be without one!

Great product!!! I have a Bengal cat who likes to scratch at the door in the early morning. It was a ritual for him, every morning. I tried everything to get him to stop. Sprays, tape, you name it. Nothing worked. I came across these mats and he doesn't go near the doors in the morning anymore. He waits until I open up the bedroom door. I don't even need to put the power on, he will not go near any of these mats, doesn't matter where they are placed. 100% would recommend if you don't want your cat to jump on countertops or if you have a issue with your cat scratching on doors.

I purchased this as a last resort to stop one of our clowder of 4 from weeing under a bed. I figured out which one it was and she's tried it a few times now. Her weeing under the bed has stopped though! Just in case I put potty pads under the mat in case she did somehow manage to go on the mat. So far so good and the area is dry and clean. I do think the advert needs to be corrected though. There is only three correction level settings on this mat. The low level has nothing to it. Mid level you can feel a shock like a strong static shock (like when you take off a static filled sweater). There is a high level as well. The size is also good for what we needed. I saw that there are other sizes but I think anything less than this size and you run the risk of your pet just jumping over it and no lessons get learned. Well worth the price tag for a training aid that actually works. I was mildly concerned about how long a single 9V battery was going to last but I'm not now. It's easy on the battery life so far. It's been on for 5 days straight now, been set off 4 times, and the battery meter is still at full. The alarm setting works well enough but the beeps it puts out are not loud enough. Ours sounds very quiet when it's been set off. With it under a bed, I actually couldn't hear it at all when it was set off by the one who's stepped on the mat so far. I still give it 5 stars. Definitely still a good value for this product.

The items worked as advertised but once your pet figures out how to move the strip by going after the interface, you cannot reuse it for its intended purpose (in this case from scratching the door). Perhaps there should be a more scrutinized screening before placing an order.

We purchased 2 narrow strips and one large mat to deter cat from counter and from trying to go thru dog door. Large mat works well, but takes up alot of space on counter. Narrow was useless on counters as cat jumped over no matter where we put it. The narrow at the entrance/exit of the dog door didn't work because although he had to work slowly to push the magnets, he could stretch far enough not to stand on the strip. Dog stepped on the strip and now won't use the dog door. The larger mat is just getting moved around to different landing points, but the cat just relocates. He has been shocked at every shock level and just shakes his foot and jumps down. There is a delay between the sound and the shock. Cat doesn't care, but dog understands it.
