I have tried so many different wifi and Bluetooth bulbs. Philips Hues are the only ones that consistently work and don't have connection issues. Even the cheaper Philips smart bulb do not work well and disconnect way to often. If you want to save money get the Hue Essentials bulbs. They work just as well but have slightly different dimming levels. I use both and don't see much difference in visuals but you can physically tell they are made cheaper. I have used Hue bulbs for over 10 year and never had one die even though I have had some running everyday since I bought the first generation. Don't make the mistake I made by buying cheap imitations believing they will work the same. Then having 5 different apps to set them up and Arguing with Amazon Alexa and Google Home to get them working. Just pick The Hue ecosystem and be done with it.
I've tried other brands which cost significantly less but they were either not bright enough or multiple users of the app could not connect to the lights which leads to just one person in a household having that capability. The Hue remote which is sold seperately is what really makes all the Hue lights worth it. If only one person in a household will be on the app and you are only going to get a few bulbs then other brands would be a better option considering the difference in cost. If you have the money then Hue is totally worth it.
Although its not the cheapest light bulb, the quality is impeccable. I love that the Philips Hue ecosystem doesn't bog down the wifi bandwidth. Having light bulbs with zigbee connection instead of wifi is what makes this product unmatched.
Been using these bulbs for a long time. Bought couple more to add to my house. They work seamlessly and don't have to worry about switching them off by getting up and actually going to the switch.
Quality product, great price
Love hue always has the best color saturation and most reliability and Walmart always has the best price for these bulbs
I have been looking for this model bulb for 8 months.
I purchased two packages of two Philips Hue bulbs each. When they arrived one package had obviously been opened before. It turns out that the box that had been opened had two bulbs that did not work. The other box of two bulbs worked fine. Rather than re-ship for a return, I took the damaged box of bulbs to the local Walmart, and I'd spoken with a very helpful representative on the phone who helped me order another box of two bulbs and sent me a return receipt for when I went to the store. The bulbs have different color options, but none seem quite as bright as my old bulbs, but it is rather nice to simply be able to ask Alexa to turn them off or on. I also bought the hub thing-y, although I don't know for sure whether I needed it or not: Alexa told me I did! I found the app a little wiggy in terms of dialing in my settings, but overall I'm glad I got the bulbs and that Alexa can (mostly) do what the heck I want her to!
Product was previously opened.
I still have not received this item after the first one was delivered to the wrong address! Customer service they would send another one, but I have not received it yet and it was for a xmas present!! Too late now. I would like a refund. I would give it a zero rating, but your review page does not allow it.
