Philips Plug-in 2-Melody Doorbell Kit, White, DES2120W/27

I had bought this same doorbell a few weeks ago from my local Walmart store and was very satisfied with it working during sub-zero temperatures. I needed a second one for an upper level and bought the same one on-line.

Does what it is supposed to I wish one thing, this takes up an entire wall plug so I can't use the second plug. This needs to be a bit smaller to accomodate the other outlet

this turned out to be a great doorbell and super easy to install. our old one was hardwired and started to fail. this was very pleasant. the ringing sound gave two options and obviously the more sophisticated one we used. now I just need to remove the old doorbell button.

it's simple and easy to use. you can use the supplied tape to stick the button on the door frame or use the 2 little screws. I chose to use the screws. I did need to use a drill for the hole but only took seconds to do. I had a prior one that kept falling off using the double sided tape so used the screws. Doesn't have a variety of chimes but it will do.

I wanted the one that plugged into the wall. I put batteries in it and it works great. I also ordered the one I wanted. Not only that, but I love them! Thank you, and I love Walmart delivery!

It works great, just install the button Ringer wherever you want outside your entry then plug the doorbell/chime into an inside outlet where you can hear all over your home, it is plenty loud. Finally I can hear when a visitor or delivery comes to our Front Door, very satisfied with this product. Would definitely recommend.

For a hard of hearing person, this is a must!! it is very loud and can even wake me up. I recommend it to everyone!

range isnt great doesnt do well through walls/ obstacles not many tones, and the alternate ones it has are weird. does work connects easily

This doorbell is obviously ancient. The paper backing is brown and the plastic is brittle and cracked all over. I didn't even try to take it out of the package because if it's that old, most likely the battery is corroded and/or dead and it's not going to work anyway.

First and foremost I couldn't even get the thing open. It says insert flathead screw drive into a slot to open the push button transmitter for the outside of the door. No screwdriver fits into that slot at all. It requires the special purchase of an additional item (%232 Phillips screwdriver) for which no warning is given at purchase. You find this out when trying to install the thing. This is something that should be advised upon purchase! This is definitely not an easily installed item.
