Definitely Will Buy Again!

Crystal April 23, 2026

Absolutely Amazing! My apartment is near a strip of forest and every spring for the last few years we get flies, no matter how often we clean. Thankfully, these are amazingly easy to use and incredibly effective!

Fly strips

Patricia May 22, 2016

I've used these for many years .I like them around my outdoor cooking area. No toxins close to my food to worry about and because they are molasses base they draw fly's beautifully.

So sticky they just work.

EddieB September 5, 2018

They worked great. Didn't have a problem with flies, this year it is the year of the GNAT. Everybody I know is having a huge problem with them. These work great on them. BTW, if you do accidentally stick yourself with one and have a problem getting the sticky stuff off your skin, mineral oil works wonders. I also heard WD-40 works in the same manner.

Works great for me!

Born2Rescuec July 19, 2013

Whenever I use the ribbons I get a lot of flies and moths on it. I also got a couple of monster sized mosquitoes that got in when the door was left open. It is so sticky that I have accidentally touched it and got stuck! Works much better that the sticky paper you put on your windows. It does take patience to unwind them before you hang them but they do the job! Even the ones I have found on clearance are very sticky. I will continue to buy them and recommend them to my friends.

Works well.

Does work, but not better or worse than anything else. Wasn't hard to put up, but again none of them are.

Not impressed

TJ2000 July 25, 2017

It will work on the following conditions 1- You have hundreds of flies in the area 2- The ribbons are directly in a fly's path 3- The ribbon has just been hung Here's the deal - They do not appear to "attract" flies any more than a rock. With enough flies; one will eventually land on a rock and they'll eventually land on this ribbon. Frankly after watching for a few hours - it almost appeared like the ribbon was repelling them somewhat. I watched hundreds of flies land on everything around the ribbon and only just a very few landed on the ribbon. The ribbon is useless after a day - flies can escape. I watched many land on them after a day and just fly right back off; in fact - I can hang them all week and what gets caught in the first 1/2-day is all you'll ever see. So out of the hundreds of flies bombarding the country yard ( dairy ); If I hung one right in the morning when flies were the worst I'd get maybe 10 to 20 flies per ribbon.

What can you say about a trap that doesn't trap?

KenO1964 July 7, 2012

I don't have a lot of experience with ribbon traps, but if this product is an indication of their effectiveness I'm pretty sure I'm done with them. 10 used over a period of several months, exactly zero flies caught. I have watched numerous flies hit the ribbon in such a way that you just knew they were done for, but..... Landed on feet? Simply took off again. Got stuck on it's side? Wiggled a few minutes, then flew away. Stuck with both wings down on the ribbon? Wiggled around for about a half an hour until it made it's way to the edge of the ribbon, released it's wings from the goo and flew away unharmed. I didn't throw away a single one of these with even one fly attached.

Brief. Honest. Objective.

Thomas July 17, 2021

I hung two strips out for three weeks. Caught one fly even though there were flys in the house. Will not buy again
