I has a variety of tips. Would be great as a starter for someone. I am returning to wood burning art, and the temperature control is helpful. Having the tips in the set got me started. I did order more tips that gives more variety. I have a friend who had gotten a better set and tried out her tips. Mine was only missing a few that she had. With what I am adding, I will have more variety than her. Very glad I got this set to start up again.

I bought this to add to my menagerie of craft stuff. I have not had the chance to use it yet but it seems like it is a good quality. The price was good as well for a tool around 15 dollars to be crafty with. I don't know how good I will be with it, but I can't wait to try!

I bought this as a replacement. The 1st one was a more basic model from the same maker. I had it for many years. I decorated many wooden items, dried gourds etc. It was great for working with leather. I personalized many leather belts and handbags. I also used it many times to add an extra hole to a belt! This device is not a toy. It gets extremely hot and can easily cause fires and severe injury.

This is a great little kit for those looking to dive into woodburning. I had previously attempted the hobby many years ago but had since lost all the little attachments. This kit eliminates that from happening- it comes with a nice case to hold all of the small pieces. It also comes with instructions on what each piece does (except for the transfer tip- I still can't figure out how that works...) This kit contains everything you need to get started in wood burning. The tool that you will use the most is the universal point. I would say that for most projects, this is all you need but the extra tips are helpful as well for other things. The len is adjustable, and the instructions give you helpful suggestions on which setting to use for what material and purpose. On the high setting it took a minute or two for it to warm up. I used my cricut to print out a stencil and then traced with the pen inside the lines on a piece of basswood. I started out using the flow point to trace around the lines, then switched to the tapered point for making fine lines where the flow point couldn't reach. In between changes I used pliers so that I wouldn't burn my fingers. For the rest of the project I used the universal point. For fun I tried out the hot stamping tip, the shading point and the calligraphy tip. I will need a lot more practice to get good results on that tip but it is nice to have. Overall, I really love this kit and it is great for beginners. I also love how it comes with a soldering tip- I see many uses for this around the house. The only thing I wish were better are instructions on using the transfer point. I'm sure there's an easy explanation but I can't figure it out. I'm happy with this kit though and can't wait to make more projects!

Love this kit! It has 15 pieces, multiple tips for all sorts of craft projects, wood burning, leather working and even soldering! There are so many different applications you can use this for and having all the different tips give endless possibilities. Can’t wait to try it out and it’s dog approved too!

My daughter loves this wood burning pen. She traces onto wood plaques, boards, utensils. It is very simple to use and the results are amazing!

I use this wood burner to weld a crack back together to my plastic wheelbarrow, it works great for the job I need done with no problems.

Did not work right out of the box. Package states adjustable heat settings but there is no dial or on/off button. i left plugged in for over 30 mins and still no heat. Garbage

I did not get it 😥 now, I'm not at that address anymore! got fodd %26 yarn %26 cars. no engraving. had to have surgery, so not brood delivery, my son answered the door didn't know everythg to be delivers, er surgery wasnt till u asked I realized it was missing😥‼️

The location of the temperature control on the cord totally got in my way when trying to use the tool. Also the tip moves slightly when using it. It screws in tight but wobbles with use. If I can find the box I will return it.
