Does what i want it to do just most of your prices are too high and when you moved into my area you chased people i could get items from without having to order and wait onto be delivered you chased them out of business and now i have to wait on thesame items because your local store does not stock them

Linux at work, Windows at home, Mac at the coffee shop because I apparently have no consistent personality. This drive follows me everywhere without complaint, mounting cleanly on all three like a golden retriever that just wants to be useful. And fast? Genuinely fast. At up to 1,100MB/s, large file transfers that used to feel like watching paint dry now feel like watching paint dry significantly less. Moving project folders, virtual machine images, and the kind of files that make your laptop fan spin up in existential dread has become almost enjoyable. The form factor is compact enough to forget it's in your bag, and the USB Type-C connection means one less adapter to lose. No driver installs, no formatting drama, no passive-aggressive behavior when you plug it into a different OS than last time. Purchased this SSD for my Tesla Cam. Works great so far. Storage temp. max is rated at 85 degrees C, so should survive the heat build-up in my garage. Only negative is I cannot find the PNY firmware upgrade tool for the portable SSDs but not a biggie since I have not heard of any issues with the base firmware version. No complaints. Walmart price was unbeatable. I placed my order late Sunday and received the drive the next afternoon.

This thing is fantastic! I decided to buy an external drive, saw this one for a good price and they delivered it the next day. Plenty fast for normal operation but my computer is older and doesn't have the fast newest USB ports. When moving files onto the drive there is some lag of a few seconds but once on there every video runs at full speed, even those at 1080. Works perfectly for me, I was able to transfer 200g of video files off my main HD to this and free up that space and now I still have over 700g of space on this for the future. It is a light and tiny device, I'm considering attaching it to the side of my tower with tape. Five stars!

Version 2 gives boosted performance so this is a good upgrade for this specific PNY model of SSD. Would not get version 1 unless $15-$20 less than version 2.

Solid memory for the price. Feels lighter than my 1tb SanDisk SSDs and is full aluminium body but the end caps seem to be plastic. Included is a size comparison to mentioned 1tb SanDisk

Purchased as a gift for my roommate and caused some strange behaviors. I tried it myself and ran some benchmarks and the speeds were not far off from the theoretical speeds, but a scan using MalwareBytes reported 4 PUMs (DisableTaskMgr) and some other ones I could not descern. I could not open TaskManager either as that PUP states. I don't know if this was tampered with by someone who returned it and was sold as brand new, but I will steer clear from PNY for now.
