This was for my son. I personally loved the color/design. I like the fact that batteries aren't necessary. His controller stopped working and this was great in a "pinch". It wasn't super costly and it was here in 2 days. Super quick shipping.
This was exactly what I wanted. The cord is exceptionally long (I would guess about 16 feet!), so we can sit far away from the console to use it. A more cost effective option for a tight budget, but does all the things you need for a good gaming experience.
I really appreciated how protected it was when it arrived in the packaging. Not to mention the fact that the controller itself tends to last quite a while before giving out. Granted, there is more than one person using it. Which is why I'm so impressed with this controller! Definitely will be buying again.
Positives: No batteries, ever. Almost 10 ft long cord (other wired controllers only 8). Accurate movements, no wander or lag. Extra programmable buttons to fix times when too many user controls are actioned by same button. Negatives: Cord adds trip risk. Slightly smaller than Microsoft wireless controller. No batteries to blame for poor play.
Left stick came not working. It's been two days since I got it and when walking forward or moving forward the left stick will not register im doing that. It stops my movement randomly and stops working. This is a brand new controller and should absolutely not be doing this. I want a refund.
This controller has additional features from a regular Xbox controller and functions well for what it is, a cheap replacement for the original controller. The extra back buttons are a nice feature to have but confusing to set up. The built in headset controls are also a nice feature to have. The triggers feel cheap but that's expected for a controller at this price point. It's also disappointing that the connector uses micro-USB instead of USB-C. It's not a controller I would use on a daily basis but is good for guests or children who you don't want ruining your main controllers.
I'm a hardcore gamer and these new controllers with the volume button for the headset lasted only 2 months. The only thing I like on the new ones is that there are buttons on the back you can program. It makes me sad because these new controllers had potential to be better. The bad, the joystick was drifting so much I couldn't play my games after 2 months. My old controller before the adjustable volume for the headset lasted me 1 year and 6 months but the silicone broke on the A button. Parts are hard to find. The joysticks still work fine on the other one so I guess I'm fixing my old PowerA controller with this new piece of junk control.
Unreliable controllers. I've bought 2 of these exact controllers and they never last more than a few months. Warranty doesn't help because PowerA is such an unresponsive company and the walmart warranty won't help unless you've had the controller for over a year. Don't waste time on PowerA items.
I would not recommend buying from Golden Century Deals, Inc. I bought two Xbox controllers and each one did not fully function. The first email did not get a response and the second one asked me what my order number was (without a response). Finally the third email they responded to tell me I should contact walmart.com. I finally got my refund.
Not Walmart's fault that they all suck no matter how much more you spend on these. I have to buy my son a new one every month. Some like this one had glitches from the start. They don't care tho because people have to buy them. And then if you try to exchange it for another, the clerks look at you funny and examine it with intensity.
