This is is perfect if you only have one controller. I have it on my desk , it looks great and is built very heavy duty. you don't have to plug it into your playstation, either, I have mine plugged into a u s b.C on my desk

This was purchased because the charging cord stop working. This is a fairly new controller that just needed to be charged and this device resolved the issue.
