While watching a YouTube video, I came across how to keep weeds from growing along astroturf and cement. This past winter, rain has resulted in weeds. So, the video discusses how backer rod (foam) and Preen can be used together to keep weeds from growing along these cracks. Preeen is available at Home Depot, Lowes, Target, etc. But Walmart price was less expensive than the other stores.

Preen Weed Preventer with Shaker 5.625 Lbs. is an effective and reliable choice for me. High-quality product suitable for use in flowerbeds or other areas. I use it in the Spring and Summer months. It helps me with my landscaping maintenance. I appreciate its ease of application and the convenience of the built-in applicator. I put it in all my beds in the fall and in the spring and it keeps those nasty weeds for taking over ! (of course if YOU plant seeds where you spread it, they won't germinate )

I use this product in my in my vegetable garden one month before planting and two months after planting and it works very well and bottle last me years.

Preen needs to be applied often in states that receive higher rainfall. It helps to keep the weeds down. In drier states it really works well. Considering how many and how quickly the weeds grow in a wetter climate, it works fairly well. Used in flower beds.

I love preen. If I can preemptively kill a weed my life is wonderful. Preen makes it possible. Saves time by not applying roundup.

Really helps lessen the weed. Pulling you down through the summer but you have to put it on early before they start

This product needs to be easier to open. I could not get the lid off in order to take the seal out and use the product. The product works good if you can get the lid off where you can get it to come out.

Container is very effective in applying and storing the product. The weed prevention is least effective in long and short term use for flower beds and other yard areas. Hard to distinguish what weeds are prevented or if any at all.
